A short overnight stay as a birthday treat for my mother. Sadly, she is an Aberdeen FC fan so took her on the stadium tour which she enjoyed then out for dinner an a really nice Italian restaurant called Amerone where the food and service was exceptional. My son, who lives in Aberdeen, also joined us for dinner then drinks in one of the Union Street bars.

The city centre is a mess. Not customer friendly.

The city centre is a mess. Not customer friendly. Nothing to induce people to visit . Very poor lighting with too many slack and dangerous slabs. Lived in Aberdeen years ago and I find it's gone downhill . Council is not helping the situation. Only visit to go to football so don't spend much time in centre. No favourite places to visit.

Aberdeen was a City that I knew very little about, apart from it being an "Oil Hub". But indeed there is much more to it than just Oil. Beautiful architecture, lots of granite !!! We only had time to visit 2 museums, and would highly recommend the Maritime Museum, and also the Provist's Town house. From a social history point of view they were excellent.

Aberdeen is a beautiful city, pity about the renovations going on at the moment in the centre. There are many parks, harbour, beach, all worth visiting. The surrounding countryside is beautiful especially with the autumn colours at the moment. Union Square is a good shopping mall. There are many beautiful granite buildings e.g. Marischal college and St . Machar's cathedral in Old Aberdeen. The people are super friendly..

I had a safe and comfortable 15-day stay at Aberdeen House Hotel. As a solo traveler, I felt very secure with the two sturdy doors—one at the main entrance and another before accessing the rooms. The staff and owners were incredibly kind, always ready to help, even carrying my five bags to my room. The rooms were cozy, with hot water and internet on every floor, and they even stored my luggage for an extra day. A great place run by wonderful people. Highly recommended!
