We have been coming to Aberdeen on short stay visits for many years. This is now a city in serious decline. The main street, Union Street was sad. Betting shops in abundance. Not one Department store left in a city of this size. I am aware this is a national trend but come on Council. Clean up your once beautiful City Centre. Pavements are so uneven they are a constant trip hazard. It was just so sad to see.
We love Aberdeen. We can spend time with our daughter who is at University. The city isn't too big but big enough to find something different to do. The local people were very friendly. The only thing we noticed was that the pavements were not very wheelchair friendly.
The thing my children who are boys did not like was in the changing room there was no where private to go and there was an old man sitting on a bench drying his privates in front of everyone. They were very upset about this.open to whoever they said. Please put separation in!
Lovely city, with a great beech, harbour, buzzing city centre, lots of shops, great architecture, good public transport, near airport, beautiful parks, museums and old Aberdeen is just stunning. Lovely food lots to choose from and friendly people.
Aberdeen is a nice friendly city, it's got good bars and restaurants for food and drink. Great for walking around and looking at the street art murals on the walls. The shops are all within a short walk, the beach, the cinema and the retail park are a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre, you're never short of places to stay as well. I love staying in Aberdeen as I find it easy to relax
aberdeen as a city is incredibly boring , honestly with the poor council and ridiculous cost ( aberdeen city charges it inhabitants as if they are all living off of the failing oil industry) so many shops have been forced to close and it’s gotten from bad to worse , council wastes money on unwanted changes to “improve” city features , infrastructure , etc but they are all a bunch of monkeys flinging money around like it’s their own crap and failing to see how they’ve killed off a city that used to have potential . plenty of phone repair and charity shops though the reason for putting down my trip was to short its because i miss my family and wanted more time there , the city itself … meh
Situated in the heart of Aberdeen close to Union Square shopping Centre, the train station, bus station, port, airport shuttle, and Union Street shops you couldn’t ask for a more central location. The room was large and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the double glazing kept out much of the outside sound. Best of all the staff were very helpful and allowed me to have some post forwarded to the hotel which I picked up upon checking in.
Located next to TECA (The Event Centre Aberdeen) and P&J Live you couldn’t ask for a better location. The hotel is just 25 minutes walk from Aberdeen Airport and is on the route of the 727 bus between the airport and city centre. The hotel is clean and modern, and the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff were also kind enough to receive some post ahead of my arrival for me to collect once I checked in.
First time I stayed at this hotel. From check in to check out everything was spot on. Friendly / helpful staff, good breakfast and while rooms are smallish, they are clean and have everything you need. Only slight grumble is that bed could have been a bit more comfortable. Other than that, well done to the Holiday Inn Express city centre Aberdeen and its staff.
This hotel is fantastic. Housekeeper Conny and her staff do an outstanding job in keeping the hotel spotless. Leigh Anne is fantastic in looking after guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was really nice. If you are staying in Aberdeen, this is the place to stay. Nice large car park. I particularly liked the lovely door handles on the bedrooms.
Aberdeen
Absolutely perfect location in the city centre. It's way cheaper than any others and I could also park my car at no extra charge (other guest houses and hotels either didn't have car parks or for a £12-£15 per day fee with no options for reservation) I'm not a fan of shared bathrooms but this was spotless. Scott is a lovely chap too. I will be back!
Twin room had double beds so lots of space and comfy for my friend and I. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor in the communal areas of the hotel was really tasteful and modern. Central for our Aberdeen night out. We were pleased to receive a complimentary drink at the bar too. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.
The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring Aberdeen, a short walk from the train and stations and central to everything else. The breakfast was definitely different due to COVID restrictions, but under the circumstances was quite decent. Finally, the staff was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, highly recommended.
We were stuck in Aberdeen for two days due to snowy weather and were very happy we chose this hotel. Quiet, cozy, and nicely decorated. Rooms were clean and staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There’s a cute little shop that sells decorations and gifts not far from the hotel. Worth the short walk for something to do.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, great staff, great location, dinner was amazing, breakfast took a bit longer than normal but only because the hotel was very busy, we would happy go back for another stay. Happy Customers, 5 star hotel
Aberdeen
Delicious hearty breakfast and very friendly staff. Excellent location for sightseeing - accessible by bus both from the airport and the bus/train station, also walking distance to University of Aberdeen and the city centre.
