aberdeen as a city is incredibly boring , honestly with the poor council and ridiculous cost ( aberdeen city charges it inhabitants as if they are all living off of the failing oil industry) so many shops have been forced to close and it’s gotten from bad to worse , council wastes money on unwanted changes to “improve” city features , infrastructure , etc but they are all a bunch of monkeys flinging money around like it’s their own crap and failing to see how they’ve killed off a city that used to have potential . plenty of phone repair and charity shops though the reason for putting down my trip was to short its because i miss my family and wanted more time there , the city itself … meh
Staffs were friendly, both receptionist and the resturant. Hotel is near bus, train and shopping more. Nice hotel, value for money. Breakfsst was delicious.room, and toilet is well clean. My next trip to Aberdeen I would like stay again in Station Hotel. I will like to advise them to put at lease one small of bottle water in the room for the guess.
I only spent a night there. Its full of historical buildings. Railway station is quite far from town centre which is spread out. Taxis are difficult to get although theres a rank next to the railway station which is joined to the Union Square mall. Seems pretty chilled out and the locals are friendly. I may go back in the summer. Sign posting to city centre is a bit sparse.
surprised for a city to only have one gay bar for its size so doesn't cater enough for the LGBT community a bit behind the times compared to other city's.food can be very expensive and it's a bit shocking what some of the resteraunts charge my tip have your breakfast before you venture out and make a goody bag picnic if your planning on walking take a flask Aberdeen is a cold city so wrap up.be aware of the traffic it's dangerous around city centre union station area I'm surprised no one has been killed it's just scary the problem being there is a bus station a shopping centre entrance and a train station all next to each other so remember to stop look listen.I got very disorientated getting from one place to the next.the highlight and main reason for my stay was seeing a show at the Tivoli theatre what a beautiful place to see a show lovely staff great atmosphere just amazing.
Love the theatres, the Amusement Park and promenade. Good quality hotels away from town centre with excellent and reasonable taxi services and park and ride bus options. Good shops too. Unfortunately, the weather has always been miserable when we've stayed which leaves the city looking very grey. The promenade has multiple restaurants and the hotel restaurants where we've stayed have been very good (Allen's Hotel, Village Hotel)
I was not a new visitor to Aberdeen as I spent my first 20 years living in the area and studying and working in the city. As I was visiting relatives I did not have time to sightsee. However, I did fit in a visit to the Art Gallery specifically to see the Viking Exhibition. I also visited the Winter Gardens in the Duthie Park. Both these venues are worth a visit. On a previous visit I enjoyed going round the Gordon Highlanders Museum which incidentally has an excellent cafe. Aberdeen has plenty of shopping facilities, historic buildings, Maritime Museum and Art Gallery. The village of Footdee (Fittie) and the harbour both merit a visit. Let's not forget the golden sands and promenade.
Room very clean and comfortable. Room well maintained. Bed very comfortable. Hot water all the time. Good shower. No loud noises at night. Cleaning staff helpful. I was very pleased with the hotel location. Not far from city centre but still quiet and on street parking over night accessible. Reception staff slows to use hotel car park first night as our car was fully packed. Have had to extend my stay in Aberdeen at short notice but there was no availability for the coming week. I would definitely stay again. A real gem of a hotel.
Ever wish you could find a budget hotel with 5-star service? If you are travelling to Aberdeen (Scotland) you need look no further than the Globe Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the breakfasts are hearty, and the staff unfailingly courteous. There is also an attractive beer garden for chilling out in the evening or having dinner outdoors. When the time comes for moving on, perhaps to catch the evening ferry to Orkney or Shetland (within walking distance), the staff will happily store your luggage. Like I said, 5-star.
Very warm welcome from the staff. Fantastic, clean room with lots of space and a super comfortable bed. The shower was also amazing. A beautiful hotel bar and garden are available to sit and enjoy a beer or cocktail. Great location to walk into Aberdeen for dinner and a little look around. Hot breakfast made to order was enjoyable. Hotel is close to a lovely park to the south which was worth exploring for a stroll.
Great venue as we were at TECA. Staff were fabulous, polite, efficient and friendly. I object to paying for parking, it should be included in any out-of-town centre hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean but sadly as is the case of many new hotels, the lighting in the bedroom is too dim and trying to do hair and make-up is impossible. Bathroom mirrors require me to stand on tip toe to see myself!
The staff could not have been better. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The food in the Bothy Restaurant was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. And the location was perfect. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Aberdeen. We will definitely be back to stay at the Palm Court Hotel.
Aberdeen
I cannot recommend this highly enough. Located within easy walking distance of the station, the room was neat, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owners went out of their way to be helpful. I would definitely stay there again next time I’m in Aberdeen
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, great staff, great location, dinner was amazing, breakfast took a bit longer than normal but only because the hotel was very busy, we would happy go back for another stay. Happy Customers, 5 star hotel
Modern spacious and well designed studio room; small kitchen was great; hotel is really well located, right in the city centre and close to all amenities, yet really quiet and peaceful (which is highly unusual for hotels in Aberdeen).
Stayed here a few times now and its always excellent! The superior rooms are lovely and staff always helpful! ideal location and the car park is a bonus as a lot of Aberdeen hotels don't have parking facilities!
the fact that is cheap and kind of nice rooms for the price. I’ve been in aberdeen in other hotels for the same price and it was horrible. but this one was ok compared with the price
Breakfast was greasy and not enough emphasis on vegetarian options. To differentiate the hotel from competitors I suggest improving breakfast options - make them more healthy.
Great base for 2 nights in Aberdeen. Nice hotel with friendly staff and 30 min walk from City Centre which suits us. Will use again if in Aberdeen again.
Many gin and whisky distilleries within reach. Aberdeen and many beaches nearby. Close to main traffic routes and yet in a calm place.
Nothing outstanding about this hotel, we were looking for somewhere to sleep before a wedding and this fitted the bill.
lovely hotel, very convenient for P&J live
