The Pier Hotel is centrally located, 328 feet from the town center and 66 feet from the seafront. Very close to the sea and the city centre, clean and comfortable with a kettle and a little fridge. Autonomous kind of check in and out which was fine since you get a text with the information needed. Barely met the staff, but that was fine.

My first family holiday in 1967 was in Aberystwyth, went back in 78, 83, 84, and 2022, so the start of 2023 was a spur of the moment thing. So glad i made the jaunt, its a typical Mid Wales / North Wales type of town, rather unspoilt, also a great location for the coastline, and the gateway to great scenery.
I couldn’t tell you but I know we would of loved it as it was a surprise for my wife of 22 years but we never got there because booking.com msged me saying the booking wasn’t complete but still took the money so we spent the night at home and I couldn’t surprise her
Aberystwyth is a lovely small town. There are plenty of eating places. A good mix of shops. It is possible to easily walk around the whole town. There are many beautiful coastal and country walks directly from the town. There is a cinema. There is also an Arts Centre that has a cinema, a theatre and a music venue. The National Library of Wales is here. There are the remnants of a Castle. You can take a short cog railway up to the cliff top that leads to the coastal path. The Ceredigion section of this path runs from Borth to Cardigan. You can join the path in either direction directly from Aberystwyth. There are a couple of nice play areas for children.
We love everything about Aber! Lots of choices of places to eat and drink and some lovely shops but best of all some fabulous walks, both around the town beaches,up Consti and further out along the cliffs. We caught the bus to Chancery and walked back along the Wales Coastal Path (4.72 miles). A lovely walk with some spectacular views of Aber!
Aberystwyth prom is great, sea views sunsets, Grandson was impressed with Uni open day and liked the town. The road we stayed on was too noisy for a back road and student halls at the far end so disturbed nights, might not bother other people. Lots of little shops and bars cafes. Restaurants too busy to take us I presume as it was open weekend at the Uni, so we catered for ourselves. Uni walkable up hill from the flat.
A wonderful seaside town with mountain railway, a gorgeous promenade, lovely beaches, a pier and lots of wonderful walking opportunities. Plenty of good pubs and restaurants - art galleries, bookshops, and the National Library of Wales, worth a visit... A nice selection local and high street branded shops. Aberystwyth, a little gem 😊👌
It was a perfect sea front location, the first time I've actually stayed in a UK hotel overlooking the sea, it was great, everything was warm, comfortable and tidy. We ate dinner in the hotel because we didn't want to wander around town in the rain, it was okay, fairly bog standard menu from the 80's, but it did the trick, and Aberystwyth didn't seem to have many great restaurants so I don't think we missed out. Breakfast was good, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Aberystwyth
On the first night our booked room was not available. Mr Emyr Davies, the owner, moved us to a 4bed cottage at no extra cost. Tan-Y-Goer cottage, 4 bed, swimming pool. Hot tub, garden, BBQ and games room. Excellent property, very suitable for families. Our 2nd night we were in the Queensbridge hotel, right on the front in Aberystwyth next to the beach. Large comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Location was great with parking at rear. Paid for deluxe room but had to stay in annex since I took a dog. Room was large and comfortable on ground floor and with sea views which was suitable for my elderly mother. Breakfast was good although I had to pay extra £10.00 a person each morning and £30.00 extra for the dog. Had I of booked through the hotel itself the breakfast would have been free.
This hotel is situated at the quieter end of Aberystwyth but easy walking distance to restaurants/bars/shops/beaches. Due to Covid, there were restrictions on what the hotel could offer but the staff were lovely and really helpful (giving us some great advice on things to do). The rooms were very clean and much of the hotel looked freshly decorated.

Stayed for 2 nights at beginning of August 2021 booking two rooms. Both rooms were very spacious, extremely clean with great facilities. Breakfast service in room was great. Hope to visit Aberystwyth again and would definitely book this hotel as really enjoyed our stay and the hotel is in a great location. Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent location near top the seafront and town centre. On street parking outside the property and a friendly helpful host. The room was totally adequate for what I needed and I slept well. The breakfast was served hot and well cooked with plenty of it as well. For the price you cannot go wrong here.
Covenience and location - close to Aberystwyth. Plenty of secure (CCTV) parking spaces in car park at Starling Cloud, which is always a bonus. We were able to make the booking at very short notice. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming on arrival and at breakfast
