Set in Ashby de la Launde, 13 mi from Lincoln, The Little Barn offers a garden and free WiFi. Great rural location. Friendly animals - dogs, cats, horses. Kindly there were basic supplies left for our arrival. Everyone there was friendly. A great get away location
Set in Metheringham, 12 mi from Lincoln, Watermill Farm Cottages offers a garden and free WiFi. Our host was amazing. We had a slight 'technical hitch' on our second day and he did everything he could to help us fix it. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and we loved his summerhouse. Lots of wildlife including kingfishers
Offering free WiFi and a garden, The Tavern At Timberland is located in Timberland. Lincoln is 12 mi away. Free private parking is available on site. So much attention to detail, it’s a lovely property. Totally dog friendly. Lovely little touches, like a bottle of wine, muffins, chocolates and milk in the fridge. Breakfast was amazing! Lovely outside private patio area, beautiful shared garden. Very private and quiet.
Lincoln was a lovely historic town plus cathedral wonderful eating places here and cafes . We ate in an authentic Italian restaurant but unfortunately did not record name. Visited Skegness beach town an hour from our location. Not overly impressed with English seaside towns in this region. We are members of national trust so lots of buildings parks and gardens in this area we just follow their book. For anyone visiting England it is the cheapest way of visiting historic buildings We were near an R A F. Base and had some marvellous viewings of jets and surveillance aircraft taking off and landing.
Its a beautifully situated and peaceful place. Very clean and fabulous VFM. We went for a family get-together but next time we will visit Lincoln and Coningsby RAF exhibition which its perfectly located for. We will also visit the fabulous 8 sail windmill at Heckington We will be back, that says it all
I really like the place it is a farm with stables. it's quiet so you can get a good nights kip, we were visiting Sleaford and that was easily accessible from the old granary. The room was small and some people may not like it. but we were happy. Not a fan of pre-ordering breakfast. but wouldn't stop me visiting again.
Beautiful countryside. The peace was much appreciated yet only a short journey to Lincoln and Sleaford. Ideally placed for visiting many local places of interest whether business or pleasure. At the end of a busy day it was a joy to return to peace and quiet.
