Breakfast was excellent, buffet style, with plenty of choice and no long queues. Coffee or tea was brought to your table. Dinner in both restaurants were of a good standard, once again, a lovely choice and of good quality. Staff were terrific, especially Jess on reception (patience of a saint) and the tall waiter from Manchester (Brandon I think). Nicest natured guy in the world.

Very nice place. Booked it 30 min before arriving, we were driving south and we were to tired. Has a summer camp vibe. Very busy and a lot of families, kids and dogs. We spend just a night, but they have big facilities, lots of activities. Definitely we will be back.

We visited the Highland Wildlife Park and I would recommend a full day we were unable to see all we wanted to in half a day the Strathspey railway was enjoyable Aviemore has a range of shops the journey to Cairngorm is worthwhile and there are many attractions on the Rothiemuchs Estate Reindeer Centre is very good with a walk for those able to see the reindeer on the hillside. Golf and Fishing also availiable
Aviemore is the ideal base from which to discover the Cairngorms. The town itself has everything you could possibly need to an active stay in the mountains as any time of year and some decent eateries.
Aviemore has numerous shops and excellent eating establishments, had the best fish&chips at Smiffys and a beef steak pie to die for at the Balavoulin, and excellentvisit to Giovannis in the resort. Landmark is only minutes away and is a must to visit. The resort has a fantastic swimming pool for residents, my grandsons got excellent use of it. The Highlands Hotel would be my preferred stay if I go again. There's a theatre, cinema..which we used, very nice and helpful staff
Aviemore is a little haven. It offers so many activities for all ages and can easily keep a family fully entertained for a week, from all the outdoor activities, to shops, restaurants and swimming pool. There is so much to do within a beautiful location .
We are pensioners and since our retirement our retirement to Scotland in 2003 we moved to the Highlands on the west coast and then moved over to the east in 2019 and live fairly close to Aviemore (Beauly). Over the 50 odd years coming to this area we have noticed the considerable popularity it now has and therefore we try and avoid visiting in the summer. Winter is our favourite time for walking and we still ski if there is sufficient snow cover. We notice the difference with the amount of snow falling these days compared to the 1970's. Over tourism is what we experienced in the Lake District many years ago and the same can be said about certain places in Scotland. We moved to the Highlands for our love of backpacking but, sadly, are noticing the amount of rubbish lying around in some of the wilder places that we thought would be left free of human presence with evidence of cans and bottles in hedgerows and grass verges on many isolated single track roads with passing places. It's indicative of the lack of respect by the takeaway society where they climb a mountain with a Sixpack and leave the empties half buried at the summit.
Beautiful place with so much to do. We were really lucky to stay during the random September heatwave (2023) and it honestly felt like we were in the Med. It's a wonderful place, and i'm sure it would be equally beautiful at other times of the year too.
