Just beside the River Thames, The Trout at Tadpole Bridge enjoys an beautiful location between Oxford and the Cotswolds. This is an absolute stunning location on the River Thames. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The chef prepares fantastic and tasty food. Loved this quaint little place.
A LOVELY VILLAGE SET IN BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE, THE PEOPLE WERE ALL VERY FRIENDLY AND MADE US FEEL SO WELCOME. PLENTY PLACES TO VISIT LOCALLY, GOOD BASE. THIRTY MINUTES TO OXFORD AND ABOUT ONE HOUR FIFTEEN MINUTES TO BATH BY CAR.
We loved the period buildings and the rural setting. The village's links with Downton Abbey series are very interesting. Bampton is close to many other Oxfordshire attractions and beauty spots whilst itself, enjoys a quiet and peaceful existence in the English countryside. A brilliant base for anyone wishing to explore the area. Nearby Faringdon offers a great place to eat. We enjoyed great tapas at La Bobinas.
Bampton is a wonderful little country town. Also known as Bampton in the Bush . It has a lovely old church and majestic old houses. 4 smashing pubs and excellent meals at the Romany Inn. A great range of ales at the Morris Clown. Bampton is a centre for Morris dancing and therefore has a rich cultural heritage of music and dance..a very special place.
I didn't realise how pretty Bampton is. I fell in love with the B&B but when arrived I then found that the village it is in is just as beautiful. Full of pretty houses and quaint shops. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting a feel for the Cotswolds
