I liked how the hotel was just walking distance from the train station and city's attractions. Right in the heart of city centre and lots of restaurants across it! Hotel was able to grant our request of rooms situated beside each other and was able to let us check in early. There was also a free wine and cheese event in the hotel which was a hit

The hotel is excellen. It is located near all amenities, easy to get from the station (10 mins walk) and has its own spa centre. The breakfast was one of the best (although expensive if paid separately) and the room was very good. The bed was very comfortable, so I highly recommend this accommodation.

FAQs about hotels in Bath

Roman Ruins and Georgian Grandeur

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.

Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.

Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.

North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.

Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

We travelled to Bath to walk from BATH Spa to Bathampton along the canal footpath. There were numerous coffee shops to choose from and the walk uncovered some historic views and historic notices. The views were great across Bath and along the canal. Well worth a trip. Services rail and bus were prompt and plenty to choose from.

We have visited Bath several times and can highly recommend it as a place to see in England if you don’t mind the crowds! The buildings are mostly built in beautiful cream coloured Bath stone and stunning. The city has all the shops you would need and there are plenty of options for eating (most pubs do a great Sunday lunch!) We are restricted to school holidays but if you can visit out of season I am sure it would be less crowded.

Too many wonderful places to see… wow , this city is full of amazing places. As much as possible try and stay close to the City Centre and use the apps such as the self guided tour app, but make sure your phone is fully charged because you will be using both the app for a talk on the iconic spot as well as your maos ( Google etc ) for navigation. Make sure you spend time at the Roman Baths and for fans of Jane Austen, the centre. Look out for the Crescent, spotted it and a couple of other spots in one of the episodes of Pie in the Sky .

The hop on hop off bus trips were excellent value for money.

The hop on hop off bus trips were excellent value for money. The queues for the Roman baths were long and the cost of entry was, to us, excessive. Plenty of places to eat and drink, with good variety. The cathedral was a haven of peace and quiet and well worth visiting.

Excellent location that means everything in the city centre is within easy walking distance, from historic attractions to shops and restaurants. The hotel has an international corporate atmosphere, mainly due to bland yet stylish decor. Our 'executive room' was very comfortable and spacious, with very good facilities. Standards of service were high and staff very professional. The spa was fantastic, a great addition to our say in Bath. Continental breakfast was absolutely delicious!

The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room offered everything you could need, more so than some larger more costly hotels. The staff were awesome. Thanks Tom, Claire, Gi-Gi and Sue. They couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The food/bar facilities were great. Free parking. Transport into the City Centre by bus was right outside the hotel and was just few minutes ride away. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful City of Bath.
