Betws-y-Coed is listed as one of the major attractions in North Wales and is a great spot for visiting places. The village has plenty of options for eating and drinking, where possible booking is advised. There is a great Indian restaurant on the main road - Abbasi. The food is really nice as are the staff. The food at The Craig-y-Dderwen Riverside Hotel is exceptional and Olif is lovely too. Online booking is also advised for The Ffestiniog Railway and the Snowdon Mountain Train to avoid disappointment. A great base for exploring Snowdonia and the surrounding areas.
This is a walking paradise, that's why people come here. There are some nice restaurant's, but some of them don't take bookings, its a first come first served system which can be annoying when your trying to plan your day. We ate at "Olif" Welsh Tapas restaurant which accepted bookings & served fantastic food, plus the staff were very friendly (highly recommended). If you want to just cruise the place at night & get a pint in a pub or two this is not the place for you as it only has hotels & some of the hotel bars are only open to residents at night.
Great hosts always very helpful and the accommodation is very clean and comfortable, location is beautiful a little remote but we knew that on booking and it suited us fine. Greta for access to the local town and Snowdonia.
Betws y coed is a lovely village .it can be very busy especially at certain times of year like school holidays and in the summer .it’s got a lot of climbing /outdoor clothing shops ,gift shops etc .We had lovely food at The Royal Oak hotel at y stablau-it was excellent. Few cafes for light meals etc.
Betws Y Coed is a stunning little town with great hotels, restaurants and pubs and is one of the best hubs to explore Snowdonia. More outdoor shops than you could ever need. A bit touristy perhaps but if you’re a tourist you can hardly complain. The Gwydyr Hotel our new favourite for goreat beer and good pub food.
Lovely bedroom and bed - extra large and very comfortable! Busy but quiet and relaxing and just a little away from the other hotels near by. You can sit on the terrace with a beer and just look at the beautiful landscape & the river, listen to the water and look at the stunning view. Very nice staff who all wore masks. Great food / you can watch the chefs at work. Easy walk into the town. Central, with a car, for all visitor attractions of North Wales
A great hotel, the staff could not do enough, lovely location by the side of a tumbling river. Free game fishing-although not right outside the hotel and very dog friendly for sensible owners. Food in the restaurant was very good and the service excellent. Lovely gardens. Nothing that was not good, apart from the lack of a lift but we were young enough to walk up and down. The room we had was on the second floor so a bit of a climb. I summary a perfect stay in a lovely very well run Hotel

The home prepared breakfast, with fresh fruit was delicious. Lots of choices. Location is perfect, with a very bucolic path and foot bridge to access the village of Betws Y Coed. Nigel and Barbara are fantastic hosts, genuinely concerned for your well-being, and satisfaction.
The hotel is just out of the village and short walk in the middle of the village, the owner Martin And staff were very helpful, we had our meals in our room, the room was very nice, Martin is an excellent chef and served very tasty food for evening meal and breakfast.
Food, when it arrived, was lovely and good sized portions. Hotel room was fine for the price we paid, I didn’t like that our room was also a fire escape so there was a break glass box with a key outside to gain access.
beautiful hotel situated in a beautiful little village, the lights at night make it all look so warm and inviting. definitely value for money. i would definitely recommend, i would love to come back at Christmas time
