Every place I ate I was served large portions. Most of the area is very walkable, but don't expect vehicles to yield to pedestrians. I enjoyed the choir at St. Peter's. Everyone I talked to was very friendly.
It was quite run down but the beach front area was still nice to walk along. It would have been nice if there were a few more bustling restaurants. But the trainstation was close to the town centre and easy to get out to other areas.
This is a lovely little backwater with great quirkiness and welcome. Almost all the shops and numerous cafes are local to Bexhill or nearby neighbourhood. Fantastically free of big chain names so it is definitely not Anywheresville-by-the-Sea. De la Warr Pavilion, local artists and great second-hand shops. Restful promenade. Curious architecture and friendly welcoming folk not overwhelmed by too many visitors. Good sense of whole bay from Beachy Head to Fairlight.
We lived in Bexhill for 9 years so we know the town well and would recommend visiting it. We were in Bexhill hoping to see friends and do some shopping. It is useful to visit Hastings ,Eastbourne and Brighton.
The De la Warr pavilion is beautiful, has a nice cafe with fabulous sea views. The beginning of motor sports in 1902 is celebrated with photos and festivals during the year. There's an open air concert area where the swimming pool used to be. Easy walking along the prom. A good variety of places to eat, we went to the Italian 2 nights on the run! Free parking along most ot the sea front and you can hire a beach hut.
Really nice sea front, with a good promenade to walk. Plenty of variety of restaurants to eat out. Full of quirky individual shops, worth browsing. A quiet, welcoming town, but only a short train ride, if you fancy a day in a busier environment, such as Hastings or Brighton.

Anna-Maria and Ray are absolutely delightful hosts. I was greeted with home-made coconut cake which was wonderfully delicious and the couple were both very warm and welcoming. The room was immaculate and spotlessly clean, so much so, it felt like a posh hotel and the bed just so comfy. I have taken their card and will be recommending 'The Little Garth' and Anna-Maria and Ray to anyone who needs to travel to East Sussex.

It was the little ‘extras’ bone china mugs in room, fair trade coffee/tea, bottle of water beside the bed (something that’s dying out in Hotels these days). Breakfast surpassed expectations and had a decent teapot for cups of tea. Overall an amazing experience and will definitely go back. Gemma is extremely welcoming- thank you!

Location was great, we were attending a wedding nearby and the cottage is a short 5 minute cab journey from Bexhill town centre. We were made to feel very welcome, the rooms were clean and had good shower facilities. The tea and cookies were also good!

A wife and her husband went to Dippy And the wifes curves might be slightly “hippy”. When they arrived to this adoring cottage in Bexhill They instantly saw all the love and creative skill The lovely owner had poured into this place And they fell in love with this quirky space Dippy Cottage is a place like nothing else with much to look at in drawers and on shelfs There are hints and hunts, inspiration and fun Something perhaps for everyone Here you can explore the area or go to the beach and shopping locally is within your reach We had great inspiration from the owner Of things to do and places to explore - And after a week at Dippy Cottage We would love to go back and enjoy much more Thank You Jo for this treasure It has been 100% a pleasure!
