Situated in Birkenhead in the Merseyside region, Woodside Lodge has a patio. The accommodation is 23 km from Chester, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. the property was lovely the garden was my favourite place to be of an evening
Within a minute’s walk of the famous ‘ferry across the Mersey’, The Liver View is a 15-minute ferry trip from Liverpool city centre and offers free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. I love the almost one century old location! It was renewed without losing his history, The host Is polite, friendly and talk a very clear english, that even a foreigner like me could perfectly understand.
The market used to be quite good but not now, not many stalls open which is understandable with the way things are with the virus. Quite a few shops closed now in the town centre. Apartment was couple of miles away and nothing around it.
I was here for a funeral so not sight seeing although I went to West Kirby beach and thurstaston beach & Wirral country park both great places cos tho urban the Wirral has some lovely spots by the coast.
We were given a guided tour of the old Town Hall, which is splendidly Victorian. Birkenhead Park is very pleasant for a walk around and there's a decent cafe too. It was the inspiration for Central Park in New York and the first public Park in the world - keep the masses healthy and they'll work harder!
The town has changed since we moved away. And there are some lovely places to visit whilst you are here. Great beaches in West Kirby nearby and also Hoylake.boating activity for all the family to enjoy. If that's not your thing look round the Birkenhead museums. A quick trip across the mersey on the famous ferry boat takes you to the Albert Dock area. Nd the Beatles museum which is (fab). All in all Birkenhead has a lot to offer visit and it is within easy distance to many other places nearby. Chester is also a great place to visit from your base in Birkenhead. There are an abundance of great restaurants in the area too. Take a guide map and explore, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Birkenhead itself has a few places worth visiting, but it’s the proximity to Liverpool and Chester that will provide better shopping and places to visit. Plus the Wirral Peninsula is lovely surrounded by the River Mersey, Irish Sea and the River Dee.
It was easy and comfortable for us to drive from The Blue Wheel Cottage to Thornton Hotel for a wedding. Next day on checking out, we drove to the Tattoon Park Flower Show, just 45 minutes away on our way back home. There is also a huge shopping village close by.
Beautiful apartment overlooking Hamilton Square. We do go up to visit family a couple of times a year so will aim to book this apartment again. Close to the metro station, and Pyramid shopping centre but a bit limited for meals out in the evening. The area is slightly seedy unfortunately though the apartment itself and immediate surroundings were very classy indeed.
Very welcoming stay! Room had a great view and was very cozy. The staff were very helpful with providing ideas for things to do and help with travel. The ferry was right outside (1 minute walk) but unfortunately was under refurbishment while we were there. Breakfast was lovely. Couldn’t recommend here more if you’re wanting to visit Liverpool or Birkenhead.
Liked staying here. Easy bus ride from just by the house into Liverpool city centre.
