Very small village with only one general store. Pub wasn't open or the public toilets. Visited the Post Office for general tourist information - was no use at all! Good bus network to Lydney and Coleford.
Didn’t spend long in Blakeney itself although it is quite appealing. There appeared to be only one eating place (The Cock Inn) which we did not visit. We visited Newnham on Severn which is an attractive place but again short of eating places so we found The White Hart at Broadoak less than a mile away with decent food and beer Also visited Westbury on Severn where there is the National Trust Wster Garden . A very attractive place
