Set within 30,000 acres of land on the Bolton Abbey Estate, this impressive 4-star country house hotel boasts an award-winning restaurant, an adult-only spa, a gym and an indoor pool. A lovely quiet location, great staff who were keen to interact with guests and excellent facilities. Wished we had been able to stay longer!
Set in Addingham in the West Yorkshire region, Reynard Ing Cottage has a garden. The accommodation is 32 km from Harrogate. Although the weather was disappointing This cosy cottage made up for the disappointment The cottage is situated with spectacular scenery all round and is beautifully presented and is very well equipped A pleasure to have had the opportunity to stay there
Bondcroft Farm has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Skipton, 3.6 km from Skipton Castle. The home and farm are beautiful! Hostess Elaine was so kind and accommodating. Her family was very welcoming and kind as well. Food was wonderful. Animals were lovely. 'Donkey' and 'dog' also were kind enough to say hello when I arrived. The area is so serene and picturesque.
The hotel, location, local scenery and roaring log fires were all superb. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Unfortunately we really don’t like “fine” dining and so couldn’t use the main restaurant. Dishes such as raw mackerel, eel or turnip are just not for us and I just wish they would put on a fillet steak and a fish dish for those that don’t like fine dining but do like eating in more upmarket, and more traditional, restaurants. Although there is a brasserie style restaurant it doesn't have the same ambience and we found ourselves eating out most nights.
The scenery is magnificent and historic towns are within easy reach. The Abbey itself was destroyed in Henry viii's time, but half of the church was rebuilt/restored in the 10th century. A lovely place to relax and dream.
Such a peaceful place especially if you get there early and out of season. The grounds are beautifully kept and daffodils in full bloom. We were lucky to catch the end of the Ash Wednesday service in the Abbey which was very atmospheric.....so lucky to have been again.
Lovely area for walks Abbey is interesting. Lovely area for socialising. Ate the Devonshire arms and the pavilion. Plenty of parking_areas for bbqs. The river is great for kids but obviously u need to take care
Location is perfect right in the heart of the Dales. Food excellent in both of the hotel's restaurants. You really need a car to readily access other pubs and restaurants. Great shopping in Ilkley and walks on moor top as well as from hotel along to Bolton Abbey.
Idyllic, quiet location which we have visited many times from our distant youth as ardent cyclists and latterly as worshippers a tBolton Abbey when we had a property in Skipton Living for many years in Hertfordshire and having purchased 1000's of sheep in Skipton over the years. What else can a Yorkshireman say!
A lovely quiet location, great staff who were keen to interact with guests and excellent facilities. Wished we had been able to stay longer!
