Hotel in Brecon
The oldest hotel in Wales, this charming country house has a tranquil location, set in the Brecon Beacons with riverside and mountain views. There is free WiFi and free parking. The service and cooperation were 1st class. The location was spectacular. The cleanliness and meals were also extremely professional and well presented. I understand it is going to be updated but I would recommend it to anyone even now.

Brecon
Quietly situated within 15 acres of ancient woodland, the YHA Brecon Beacons is in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The atmosphere here was unbeatable! The facilities are very charming–I stayed in a dorm room in the main lodge, which felt safe and homey in a rugged way, but there were also several other more unique options including pods and tent cabins. The location is also hard to beat–it's incredibly picturesque, accessible by public transportation, and major attractions like Pen y Fan are accessible by foot. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and there were so many resources for travelers to use to plan their trips. Free parking was also a bonus! My one regret is that I couldn't stay longer!

Brecon is blessed with beautiful countryside with rolling hills, waterways, and the town provides every facility you would need with shops, restaurants, supermarkets. The area is a hikers paradise albeit hills need to be tackled to fully benefit from the many lovely views.
Old Castle Farm Guest House was great and highly recommended. Pen y Fan was our favourite place and it is very easy to get your bearings and views /scenery are spectacular we will be returning in the summer :)
Lovely town, not many restauraunts but managed to eat in the indian Zeera which is really nice and local pub grub in the clarence pub which also did very nice food. Plenty of walks to do, ie pen y fan which is only 15mins drive away in a car.
It’s a beautiful picturesque place, lovely hikes, gorgeous waterfalls, glacier lakes, beautiful reservoirs. Friendly people and delicious food options. Lovely place for a family holiday and best if you love nature and hiking.we had a lovely time and will come again for sure.
Great location near to the city centre, walking distance to Morrisons and Aldi, supermarkets, pubs and take aways also close by, the Brecon canal basin is a 5 minute walk away with picnic boats available to hire with no boating experience required as full instructions on handling and safety given prior to sailing, a great day out which I highly recommend, cottage very comfortable and cosy with everything that you would need, all in all a great holiday break and location which we highly recommended.
Lovely town. The purpose of our stay was to visit Hay Literature Festival and so our exploration of the town was limited. Shame the town seems to close all supper venues so early. We returned one evening at 9.30pm and had to resort to a Chinese takeaway hosted by arguably the most depressing representative of the Chinese takeaway community in the area. And the food was awful!. We look forward though to dedicating more time to the area in the future

We had a fantastic long weekend stay at Vale Farm. The location was perfect - about 10 mins from Brecon and within east reach of the Beacons. The scenery was stunning and the children loved playing in the field with the dog. The owners were really friendly and helpful with local information. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our 11 and 9 year olds. We will definitely be returning!

Ty Newydd is a real gem amongst the B&Bs in Brecon Beacons. The location is fantastic, with the Brecon canal on one side and the hills on the other. You can even take a walk down to the Royal Oak along the canal, fabulous! The room was spacious and high standard with a stunning view of the mountains. Perfect service by Rachel and Sid even under these unusual circumstances. 10/10

Very convenient location, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views from the bedroom window were wonderful. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and the quality was exceptional. The owners were very welcoming and friendly.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable - we had a corner room (for 3) which was very light, with great views of the Brecon Beacons). Breakfast was very good, especially the cooked items. The hotel also had character!
Very quaint little farm cottage which was really clean and fresh, well furnished and comfortable. Well equipped kitchenette and spacious lounge / dining area. Used the cottage as a base for hiking in the Beacons.
