All the rooms are themed. Mine was a single and small but not cramped. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and a good force and the breakfast was absolutely first class. Best of all though are the staff, who are welcoming, helpful and friendly. A first class stay and I will be back.

Great location. Easy check in/check out. Comfy beds, Friendly staff, and easy/fun entertainment given that the hotel rooms are connected to a bar and night club if you so choose to go. Appreciated that there were earplugs provided if one is sensitive to noises when sleeping given that there’s a bar and night club at street level and in the basement (though neither myself or my partner needed them. We slept great!).

FAQs about hotels in Brighton & Hove

Colorful by Day and Night

Known for colorful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and nearby Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Many end at the racetrack, a few streets from Brighton Marina, Europe’s largest, housing several shops and eateries. Many Brighton guesthouses on Booking.com are also nearby.

Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric train, ending by Brighton Pier. Lit up at night and also known as Palace Pier, this city icon houses amusements and rides, and is one place to pick up some famous Brighton Rock, the confectionery sharing its name with an edgy Graham Greene novel set here.

A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.

Just west are 2 of the most popular Brighton shopping spots – Churchill Square shopping center and The Lanes with its narrow streets and unusual shops. This area also has several Brighton hotels with parking, and the Artists Quarter, a series of ex-fishing huts that are now galleries. Arts + culture are big in Brighton, and Brighton Festival is the UK’s 2nd largest arts festival, while Brighton Pride is also a big event on the annual calendar.

Good venue, however wedding on and loud music, an on check in was not told about, which is fine but just tell your other guests. Wasn't told about spa and wasn’t given any information at all. Or asked if we wanted to book dinner? They need better communication really. Have you been before etc. to make you feel welcome.

Found Brighton very noisy and a massive hub for buses.

Found Brighton very noisy and a massive hub for buses. I am sure if visitors, if they knew which ones, could travel almost anywhere. Found it a little confusing where street names where not always visable. A lot the sea front has been updated. Vast improvement. Unfortunately the area along Marine Parade against the cliff wall has been left the decay but have been told this will also be repaired and updated. Lots of shops of every description. The imposing Royal Pavilion is worth a visit. Beach is a shingle pebble and steep shelving. Be prepared for a long walk down from the railway station and a long walk back up again.

Beautiful city with lovely beaches ( bring your beach shoes!) Lots of lovely shops at the Lanes to wander around. Great restaurants to eat at....trading post, bella napoli wahaca, to name a few. Lovely walk along the promenade and pier. Treated to the flavours and sounds of Thai world the weekend I visited.

We drove around the city and there is some good architecture and monuments. We visited the Royal Pavilion built by George IV and it was gaudy, but a must see. We ate at the Burger Brothers (recommended by Hotel staff) and they had great food. A fun place to visit. Need to remember that Brighton Beach has pebbles instead of sand in the area of our accommodations. Weather was not suitable to get in to the water.

Brighton has some of the diversity of London in terms of culture and cuisine and art, as well as the 'you do your thing and I'll do mine' attitude that I love but without as many crowds and in a much smaller area. Plus, you get to swim in the sea and not get sand in your bits 🤣 (it's pebble). What's not to love? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Malmaison Brighton is a boutique hotel in the Brighton Marina area. The staff were very pleasant on arrival and departure. Check-in and check-out were effortless. The hotel interior decor is slightly avantgarde, though the room we had wasn't as quirky as expected from the website photos. We had a city-facing view and stayed only for one night. There was a small fridge and other nice amenities. Good water pressure from the shower, and the WiFi worked well. Nearby free parking was included.

The location couldn’t be better, with the beach at the end of the street and both central Brighton and Kemptown a short walk. There are lots of restaurants etc nearby. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and our room was bright and spacious. The owners were really welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed the home-cooked breakfasts. We’ll be back!

The hotel was located right on the beach and near the heart of Brighton, making it easy to access all the sights of Brighton while having food and entertainment nearby. Aside from the location, the staff was wonderful, and the breakfast was top notch. The bar service staff working in the evening were also great.

Super Breakfast! Also tasty gluten free bread available. I loved my cosy quite and little room at the third floor. Excellent area for food and drinks near by. From the hotel you see the pier and you are in 2 minutes at the lovely Brighton pebble beach…I can highly recommend it and like to come back next time.
