The town of Bude is lovely.

The town of Bude is lovely. Lots of independent shops and places to eat. Lovely beach. Sea pool. The heritage centre, beautifully curated and lovely cafe. Loved the walk along the Bude canal. Felt very safe as a female solo traveller.

Beautiful scenery, i'd recommend summerleaze beach as it is by far the best beach we've visited. Id personally stay close to town as otherwise you're out in the sticks with very few nice eatery or entertainment options about and taxis are hard to come by. The big sheep adventure park is well worth a visit for kids 3+. Great walking routes for dog 🐕 families too

I was down for the Jazz festival which I highly recommend.

I was down for the Jazz festival which I highly recommend. Due to the commitment to the various concerts I didn't have much time to explore the town very much. I perhaps should have booked a day or two either end of my visit to explore the town a bit better. There are a reasonable number of Pubs, I strongly recommend the Barrel, and the Carriers Arms. The Bude Tandoori was very good, and there are plenty of beach based activities to do.

From the pedalos on the canal to the sea pool, Bude was a delight to experience for this first timer to Cornwall. Loads of local shops from souvenir shops to art galleries to restaurants intertwined with well known high-street names. There is plenty to offer all ages for when time away from the beach is needed or a break from trying to catch waves! We visited the circus - Circus Funtasia - it was THE best circus we have been to since Millers Circus in Isle of Wight. This is definitely worth a visit when it’s in town. The castle cafe is a hidden gem offering great pots of tea and choice of cakes and scones. The donut cafe next to the pedalos sells the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted not to mention the divine cooked fresh in front of you trays of donuts! The walks in the surrounding coastline were every ramblers dream. Stunning scenery with every step. Bude was a blast! I’ll be back. Sainsbury’s and Morrisons both on outskirts for stoking up campers, tents or b&b stores. Morrisons offers much cheaper fuel than the Shell garage just a few 100 yards below it!

Pedaloes were good fun and visit to the castle was free and interesting with a circus skills workshop. Lots of variety of food options. The crazy golf was expensive at £20 for 4 of us and only 9 holes, also staff were not friendly.

Clean, modern, great food and a very well stocked bar. Staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Choice of breakfast was brilliant. We were blessed with lovely weather so eating and drinking at the outside area was very pleasant with views of the beach. We used the hotel as a base for our sightseeing. Bude itself isn’t very flattering, a couple of nice restaurants and sandy beach other than that it’s looking a little rundown.

Cosy and clean. Loved the wood burning stove! well designed and thought out with everything you need for a self catering stay in Cornwall. Lovely family run business with a good team of staff to help. Close to Kilkhampton for small shops and pub and bigger shops just down the road in Bude. Coast is a 5 minute drive and easy access to Clovelly, Bude and Tintagel.

I liked the open plan ground floor and the beautiful bedroom with sea view and terrace looking due west with sunsets and the sound of the ocean. There were walks in all directions starting right outside the hotel. The staff were warmly friendly and the housekeeper shared ideas, information and local knowledge. The food was excellent.

Breakfast was served quickly and was always hot and cooked well. Loved the prawn and hake curry which I had for dinner and it was a generous portion. Walked from the hotel and did a circular route into Bude via the tow path which starts directly over the road from the B&B

I’ve stayed in Bude a few times it’s my favourite destination in Cornwall but first time staying here I love how close it was to the beach but also how central it was to the town. would definitely recommend and I’ll definitely be staying here again.
