The entire experience was wonderful. Paul, Sue and everyone were kind, welcoming and courteous. The breakfast was sensational and big! I couldn’t finish it. I recommend the place to anyone.

This inn is tucked back into a quiet neighborhood. . It offered a bar and a dining room so we had no need to go anywhere else. The people couldn't be more friendly. Really enjoyed staying here.

OMG, what a great Inn. The bed was extremely comfortable, the setting was idyllic and it was quiet. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly. The pub was very busy and a lot of fun, though I was too tired to take full advantage of the Saturday night fun. Breakfast was a full-on English breakfast with cereals, juice, 2 eggs, bacon, homemade toast and jam, mushrooms, roast tomato and the best breakfast sausage know to man. Be sure to reserve a table for dinner as they do fill up. As an aside, the kind staff (Christine and Jan) look after a feral cat that hangs out at the Inn. Not sure of his/her name, but she was very friendly and liked a good scratch on the neck. I woke up early the next morning to find the cat waiting at my door. After a light scratching, She led me downstairs to let her out. The entire experience at Roast Ox Inn was perfect and is highly recommended.

    The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous.

    The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous. Fantastic people working there, the food is excellent, with large portions, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. There are quite a few pubs in Builth Wells centre, but nome of them match the Seven Stars at Aberedw. Visit the White Hart in Builth Wells, a locals pub, but they make you feel very welcome.

    All the pubs seem to have been recently renovated, many with views at the back over the river Wye. My favourite was the Barley Mow. Good real ale. Had a very nice fish and chips on the main street. A great little town. Next time will explore the reaches of the River Wye more.

    Builth is a nice place to visit with lots of interesting things nearby, the mountains around are stunning and the dark sky was great for any stargazing. We ate out in a nearby pub which was very pleasant.

    I cannot fault this little gem of a hotel.

    I cannot fault this little gem of a hotel. I travel around to check out hotels etc. I rarely call any hotel a little gem but this one ticked all the boxes. If you want to treat someone to a nice meal that is reasonably priced and amazing then this is the place to go. If your in wales on holiday then do not miss an opportunity to stay here. The Thai food was so authentic.

    Nice little town.

    Nice little town. We enjoyed our meal at the Indian Ocean restaurant. Particularly as we could take our own drinks. Very friendly staff there. Willing to accommodate. We also enjoyed the friendly pub/bar next door. The drinks were competitively priced, with a great atmosphere.

    Fantastic town with really friendly people great mix of local pubs definitely something for everyone. Beautiful walks and just a nice place to be. I highly recommend visiting especially if you like long walks in the hills around the town.

    The breakfast was SO good, so much choice. I chose a beautiful bowl of fresh fruit; strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, grapes and more! Too generous with the full English with proper bacon. Thick fresh bread toast, large croissants. Freshly brewed pot of coffee... Really couldn't fault this breakfast, or need anything that wasn't supplied. Large, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Great location, near everything but peaceful and quiet.

    I found it warm and welcoming with a very warm welcome from Paul, Paul’s wife and sister were absolutely lovely too. My room was warm, very comfortable and spotlessly clean credit to Karen! My evening meals were excellent and breakfasts were too. I highly recommend the Llanelwedd Arms Hotel which is within walking distance of the town Builth Wells itself. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Great little lodge with a kitchenette, a sofa and shower.i spent 4 nights here as a base to do a motorcycle tour of Wales. Great location near Elan valley & the brecon beacons. The pod was my base and I could park the bike right next to it

    The cabin was comfortable and tidy and in a lovely spot in Builth Wells. Beautiful walks around the grounds and the hotel grounds next door too. Everybody was so friendly on the site and around the town.
