The hotel is a lovely place to stay in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. This historic and traditional Inn has a traditional bar area which welcomes visitors with warmth. The guest rooms are tastefully modernized and well decorated in a contemporary style and well maintained. All of the bedroom linens, towels bathroom supplies etc. are of the highest quality, and the whole facility is spotless. The staff gave us a warm welcome and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast service was very generous, well cooked, presented and of good value. Dinner was of first class big city quality, served well and at very reasonable cost for the culinary quality of the meals. Car parking was very convenient, and the location perfect for touring the Dales.

Great if you have a dog. They are allowed everywhere.

Great if you have a dog. They are allowed everywhere. Staff lovely. Breakfast good. Evening meal average - just above - also expensive. It is an old INN - plumbing Inman house an issue. Shower was sword of Damocles! Froze or boiled ! Stayed over New Year. Hugely over priced at £200 plus per room with B and B. Grassington offers more opportunities.

We enjoyed our stay and spent more time inside than anticipated due to the weather but it was very pleasant and homely. It gave us chance to enjoy the company of our Isle of Man family. The food was good and selection of drinks also good . Staff members were very helpful.

Loved everything about it - love the Dales and it was just what we wanted for a special night for the two of us. Wedding anniversary treat. The view from our cottage windows was outstanding and the sound of the water babbling under the bridge was delightful

A delightful, picturesque little village with walks along the river to either Grassington or Appletreewick. There is a large car park which probably gets very busy in the holiday season. Although there are limited facilities in the village itself, it is a great centre to explore the surrounding countryside. The Red Lion, in the centre of the village, serves drinks, bar meals and has a formal restaurant for evening meals, which I can recommend highly.

Location absolutely stunning with lots of beautiful walks using the hotel as a starting point. We ate in the restaurant on our first night - the food was amazing, neither me or my partner could remember enjoying a meal as much in a while (although quite pricey!). Room very comfortable with very well stocked beverage tray. We slept amazingly and felt very well looked after the whole weekend. Staff all friendly and happy to help. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cottage for a family stay. Well-appointed, clean, tidy and comfortable. Situated in the centre of the village, with a cafe and pub/hotel within a few metres' walk. Views over the village green and river. Wi-fi worked well. Free on-street outside the property (subject to space, which usually wasn't a problem).

A handy location in the small village of Burnsall. The house is full of the character you’d expect from an older property. The room was large with a good sized, clean bathroom. Breakfast was generous and served by the friendly and helpful owner. You can walk along the river to the local pub.

The food was excellent as was the location and the hotel setting. However although we booked bed and breakfast, we also had dinner in the evenings. When all was added together the cost above £200 per night, which for the facilities on offer was in our view a little on the high side.
