We go here at least three times a year mostly for a week, it’s lovely sitting on the balcony of the apartment we hire and the ducks just love us feeding them, the area is great for couples and it’s a great location to the local area. Plenty of shops and restaurants in Carnforth. We always go to the canal turn in Carnforth, there is a nice chip shop not far from the Tesco supermarket. It’s a very dog friendly place most pubs accommodate your dog.

We didn't have long to stay here, but it's an interesting-looking village on an old route to the north. We drove to Kirkby Lonsdale in the morning, and this is also well worth a visit - a lovely small town, that's virtually unspoiled.

The hotels friendliness, good food the older rooms are what you’d expect but for more per night they have brand new barn rooms. Very nice. We used it as a base had a family party to go to so it was ideal for us...

Burton is a beautiful old Westmoreland village, unspoilt. The Kings Arms is the village local as well as a great little hotel. Access to the South Lakes and Lancaster, Kendal and Morecambe Bay is easy with lots of walks nearby too plus the historic Lancaster Canal adjacent

The breakfast was enjoyable and the staff gave good service. Do not go if you do not have a car as there is nothing to do there, the nearest villages are miles away. Should be okay if you like walking and just want to rest your head at night only. There was a bus service so you are not totally stuck there and the service looked reguler within two hours.

Lovely little village. We stayed at the Kings Arms and We would recommend anyone wanting to visit the nearby attractions, such as the Lakes, Kendal, Keswick or Cartmel races, then you'll not be disappointed with lovely pub.
