On the south west coastal path with the option of walking south towards The Lizard or north towards Helford. Also options to walk inland. Very much an active fishing village with its own fish seller that opens in the afternoons. Refreshingly non-touristy and especially peaceful in the evenings and early morning.
Great location miles from anywhere it's even difficult to find and get to. Great Inn serving fine food and has B&B facilities. Shop selling fish and crabs caught from the sea and landed literally behind the premises. Walk around the small harbour or the Coastal path in either direction and you will not be disappointed with the superb views from high cliffs.
Excellent pub and delightful local community. Just such a shame that we had the inappropriate room arrangements at Old Dolphin Cottage. It would have been fine for a family but definitely not for 2 couples.
Very quiet fishing village. No real shop. Narrow road. Parking available only on the parking up the hill. Great food in Cadgwith Cove pub. The beach is small but really nice and there is really cool collapsed cave near the town itself. The views are perfect.
Great to see and feel such an authentic place. Lovely being directly next to the beach and seeing the fishermen working hard. Friendly staff and good food. Don't expect luxury but a good room befitting the circumstances. Fun experience. The approach is slightly challenging with a big car.
Cadgwith is a traditional fishing village. The people are warm and welcoming. You can enjoy the traditions with sea shanties and folk music being played at the Cadgwith Cove Inn. We bought delicious lobster from the Fish shop. You can easily get around to other places. We liked Gunwalloh beach (the dog loved it there). The children enjoyed Coverack Beach, the Gweek Seal Sanctuary (the dog liked it there too) and the Rosilly ice cream farm. On a rainy day we went for a walk at Penrose Estate (Poldark location) and into Helston for a good lunch as well as a browse around Helston Museum (also dog friendly). I personally loved the views from the Lizard and would have enjoyed staying longer looking out at the coastal wildlife.
