Perfect location (1 min walk to the bus stop if you want to get to the city centre, or if you just want to go to the beach- no need to go to the city centre, just walk down the hill and you will find yourself in a less busy Carbis Bay beach) If you are coming on a train-stop at Carbis Bay beach and then walk up the hill ~7 min, at the junction with the main road turn right, 1 min walk and you will reach the "Green apple" B&B. 10min walk to Tesco/1 min walk (opposite direction) to the local supermarket and pharmacy. Delicious continental breakfast with lots of options to choose from. Comfortable beds. View to the sea from the front garden (also we were lucky to see the sea through our window). Very friendly host. Just ask and he will give you the best advice on how to find a secret most beautiful path to the beach or how to navigate the city centre.

Perfect location for St Ives and Carbis Bay. Accommodation was superb. Couldn't fault anything. Thank you Jayne
Only went to the (lovely) beach once as the hill was so steep to get back up to accommodation near the the main road. Good location for hopping the bus to St Ives and nice views. The Cornish Arms pub is a nice spot for dinner/drinks. Lack of recycling bins.
Heater provided for room as it was a cold day, books to read was a good touch but all the same author ! DVDs to watch an excellent idea , tea and coffee was easy to make in room. , food was great , unfortunately private cottages at rear had barking dogs all night which totally ruined my stay as they were left outside all night barking , this was not the fault of my hosts, and they said they would report to the agents at rear, I would stay again here however and they accommodated my walk in shower wishes which was great
NO SEA VIEW. FROM BORDING HOUSE. CARBIS BAY BEACH IS VERY NICE CLEAN AND TIDY GOOD FACILITIES. DIFFICULT TO ACCSESS BY CAR UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY £20 PARKING FEE. PARK AT THE TOP AND WALK DOWN, THE WALK BACK IS VERY HARD NOT SUITABLE FOT ELDERLY PEOPLE UNLESS YOU ARE VERY FIT. CARBIS BAY IT SELF IS VERY SMALL AND NOTHING MUCH TO DO ONLY THE BEACH.
Beautiful white sandy bay with restaurant, bar and toilets. Access is via a very steep hill but there is a small car park but costly at £20 a day. Going down to the beach is fine, but going back up is a struggle, especially in this heat wave we’re currently having!!
St Merryn Hotel, our room was comfortable for a base to travel around Cornwall, using the regular bus service which was 150mts away. we used Costa's located in Tesco's for breakfast and other meals were easily available on our travels.
The coastal path very close to this hotel is a joy to walk on. Lovely peaceful walk going west (20 mins) to St. Ives, and you can return the same way and continue walking all the way along coastal path through Carbis bay to Lelant. It is the most picturesque route of sea views and enclosed footpaths with pretty wild flowers either side. Carbis bay itself is a little too commercial and busy for my taste but you can easily continue past it towards Lelant. All the time, coastal path is very close to railway line, which I liked, and I could get the train back from Lelant to Carbis bay when too tired to walk back, and short walk back to hotel (St. Merryn) . There used to be a small cafe doing exquisite cream tea in the old station house at Lelant station. Sadly no more I discovered this time, but still a beautiful part of the world,
