Boasting a bar and a restaurant, The Badger Inn is located in the quiet village of Lelant, west Cornwall. With free WiFi access and free on-site parking available, St. We like the excellent location, out of St. Ives, close to a bus stop and railway. Also, plenty of car parking spaces.
Located in the seaside village of Carbis Bay, Green Apple Bed and Breakfast is just 8 minutes' stroll from the beach. With free WiFi access available, the property also includes free parking. The place was amazing. We got the family room with the sea view. Plus the breakfast room was the cutest thing.
Located in Carbis Bay in the Cornwall region, with Carbis Bay nearby, Sailaway has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. Great welcome from host , was like home from home . The host seems to go the extra mile , all special touches from little snacks around outdoor seating area to lots of different toiletries you may have forgotten to bring from home , all making for a wonderful stay .
11 longstone house is located in Carbis Bay. With free private parking, the property is an 8-minute walk from Carbis Bay and 1.6 miles from Gwithian Beach. Excellent clean, comfortable & stylish apartment close to Carbis Bay. Beautiful coastal walks to beach & St Ives, easy drive around Penwith. Friendly & helpful hosts. Well equipped kitchen - additions of sieve/colander & bread/chopping knife would be assets. We hope to return!
The Loft is located in Carbis Bay. Located 1.3 miles from Carbis Bay, the property has a garden and free private parking. This vacation home is fitted with 1 bedroom, a TV, and a kitchen. Margaret was a wonderful host and has created wonderful holiday accommodation for two. The cottage is very well equipped which makes for a very holiday hone. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
I'm not really qualified to talk about Carbis Bay itself. I was there to walk the Coastal Path which is above the Bay, but I did go down on to the sands along the way. The area is very beautiful. There were lots of young families there so I suppose it must be a good place for them. One plus is that there is a little railway that runs along the coast between St Ives and St Erth. Ticket offices, short journeys, very convenient and well used by tourists. If you're going to eat out, during the day or at night, best to book in advance. If you're going in a cooler season (I went in October) make sure to take warm clothes as there can be rain and wind.
Carbis Bay was so relaxing and tranquil. It was almost like being in another part of the world. The views were spectacular when walking from our accommodation to the beach. Just so beautiful and peaceful.
Carbis bay is lovely. I would also advise St ives. Lovely fishing harbour. Plenty of places to eat. And some quaint little shops. If you like eating out. We found 3 lovely pubs. The cornish arms in hayle. The blood and bucket in hayle. And the balnoon inn. In st ives. The beach in hayle is beautiful. Its a lovely sandy beach. Overall carbis bay and St ives is well worth a visit.
A beautiful sandy beach , perfect for families with young children as the water is calmer. Toilets are pretty clean. The beach can be accessed from both ends either via some steep narrow steps (tricky with toddlers!) Or via the main road route. There are not many facilities to buy refreshments and the hotel is very expensive (£6 for 2 cans of coke!) So best to come prepared.
Living in London, this part of England truly amazed and inspired us. The landscape is absolutely beautiful even in this rainy May. The golden sand gives the sea water the colour that you wnat to see for that holiday feeling. It is quite so osrt of family oriented holiday. Don't expect clubs or anything like that. St Ives is just around the corner for more dining options. The harbour is lovely. Transport is also good but need to plan ahead.
Beautiful beaches saw lots of seals, you can catch the train to St ives it takes 5 mins or half a hour walk . Plenty of places to eat and drink . I only stayed over night so did not have time to visit museum and galleries. Planning to return
The apartment was extremely clean and perfectly situated for us. The kitchen was great, had everything we needed including a dishwasher and a washer dryer so manged to get all my little boys clothes clean and dry. Beds were very comfortable and had everything we needed for a great family vacation. Steep walk down public footpath straight to carbis bay beach. It took around 10-15 minutes. It definitely got the Hart pumping but lovely walk.
Perfect place to stay with dogs! Walking distance to Carbis Bay beach, Portminster Beach and St Ives via the beautiful coastal paths. The garden is beautiful. The cottage is a typical old cottage one up, one down and decorated with old-fashioned, fascinating artefacts and artwork. Lots of lovely little touches like coffee/sugar/dog treats left. Photo is taken from the coastal path. It's hilly but worth it!
Would highly recommend staying here. Isabella is a fantastic host very accommodating; made us feel very welcome and the breakfast is a 10/10 with everything and more that you can think of. In fact it's best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B/hotel! The location is great, you can take a 10min walk to the station pay £1 to travel to St Ives with beautiful views from the train.
Everything! Our hosts were really nice and friendly. Breakfast was very nice, fresh fruit, cereals, toast, full English and juices. The little extra touches in the room was nice too. It was on a bus route into St Ives and to Hayle, Truro and Penzance. Carbis Bay railway line was about a 10min walk and 30min walk into St Ives.
Location and the beach restaurant and spa although you can’t use spa unless having a treatment. The location is fantastic but hotel lets it down. The new development looks amazing but is in complete contrast to main hotel. The hotel isn’t what it thinks it is. I would say hotel is a 3 star and no more.
Location was excellent, set on a hill very near to Carbis Bay beach. St Ives is just a 20 minute walk along the coastal path. The apartment itself was well furnished and decorated, with lovely comfy beds and fluffy towels. The owner was excellent at communication and was quick to answer any questions.
My partner and I stayed at Coast B&B for my birthday and it was great! We were in a room on the top floor and the views over Carbis Bay were stunning. You can get to St Ives via bus or by walking on the SW Coastal path. The room was quaint but being up in the loft meant you got the better views.
Our friends stayed in the shepherds hut outside which was beautiful. Rooms had lots of lovely coastal touches. Amazing breakfast. Really friendly staff. 5 minutes from Carbis Bay beach. Would definitely stay again but would ask for a room at the back of the house next time.
Very convenient location if hiking the coastal path. Beautiful approach on trail through village. Comfy, well decorated and furnished room. Full pub menu for evening meal and good breakfast in large conservatory. Staff busy running B&B plus pub but chatty and welcoming.
Amazing location. Very short drive to St Ives and walking distance from Carbis Bay. As Rose Cottage is tucked away on a private estate, it is peaceful despite St Ives and Carbis Bay being quite busy!
It was clean, spacious and had excellent facilities. We will be booking again soon. We could see the sea at Carbis Bay from the decking area in the garden, lounge, kitchen and rear bedroom.
The overall experience was amazing, hospitality of the staff A1 and the breakfast selection and quality is like that of a 5 star hotel, could not fault anything.
The place was amazing. We got the family room with the sea view. Plus the breakfast room was the cutest thing.
