Wasn’t just a room it was the creation of a new friendship. Stuart and his dog pal Ollie were awesome. Got a lot of firsthand Scottish history, whiskey sampling, and Ollie helped ease the fact we left our dog in the states. All around a great experience and so grateful to meet our new Scottish friends Stuart and Ollie !! Highly recommend !!

Everything about 'The Burrow' cabin was perfect.
It was cosy, comfortable and spotless. The bed was so comfortable and everything in the cabin felt high quality.
The facilities were great. A clean hot tub, log burner, and a smart TV. Also dog friendly too.

Coastal location with good walks if you have a guide map or information. Pub food was good, lots of golf, nearby National Trust mill in interesting, nice beaches. Everything is convenient to the railway station and a bus service runs up and down the coast to nearby towns.

If you want a quiet break or a base for travelling in Angus / Fyfe its great. Carnoustie itself only has about 4 good places to eat. The High street shops are still holding on - but typically only open from 10-4.
Public transport links are not great but if you have a car there's plenty of parking (and EV charging usually available).

The beach area, golf course and immediate surroundings were impressive, good restaurants located in those areas.
The town Main Street was very disappointing, this comment being based on previous descriptions of the town.
People were friendly, and helpful, particularly the local library staff with local tourist information available.

The staff as always were attentive, helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. The food was as good as it always is. Cooked to perfection and presented well. There are plenty things to do. Lots of walks in either direction from the hotel. A walk along the High Street looking at some independent shops. You can also take the train to Dundee, only 12 minutes, and see many cultural experiences. Or, just shop. Alternatively you can go North to Aberdeen and enjoy a day out there.
The Old Post Office suited my needs perfectly. (I was there to play golf) The location is central to everything Carnoustie. Checking Stuart’s humble abode’s availability will be my first choice on Booking.com whenever I am back in the town to either play golf or visiting friends.
Ideally located elevated guest house with great views of town / golf course / beach only 10 minute walk from the golf course. Room was spacious with high ceilings and comfy bed. Excellent breakfast choices, cooked to order. Fantastic value. Hope to be back again!
The apartment was really lovely, very comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. Beautiful view from balcony. Breakfast and service at 19th Hole Hotel was excellent.
Carnoustie is a fantastic location, the hotel was a convenient solution for having somewhere to stay at night during my holiday. The bar downstairs is fun & lively
