Castle Donnington is the name of the nearby Village, which is quaint and a nice place to explore, the High Street is packed with hair and beauty salons due to a great nearby wedding venue so there's big demand for these services. Also nice quirky gift shops, prosecco cafés, bars and restaurants. Holiday Inn Express was just fab and we will definitely stay there next time. Every member of staff was friendly and SO helpful, we couldn't praise them adequately. We have recommended this Inn to many people . Room and Hotel fine. One draught Lager on offer no beer only bottles. The menu offerings was not as on the Webb. No Steak no cheese and biscuits had to ask. Choice of three sweets only no fish veggie limited My wife had to have Goat cheese and salad as a main no salad dressing. One starter was off comment was it’s a new menu. Clean, comfortable, lovely staff and great breakfast with lots of choice. No noise at all from the airport. Easy 20 min walk from Arrivals. Just go down to the petrol station, turn left onto Beverley Road ( just google map it) and follow the road right around. If it was raining you could also jump on the Skylink bus which runs regularly and stops outside the hotel. We got it back to Derby train station in the morning and it was only £3 each.
