The Charlton Inn in Blandford Forum has a restaurant and a bar. Guests at the inn can enjoy a continental breakfast. Wonderful staff, wonderful food and great accommodation. Food all locally sourced and cooked from scratch. NOT pub grub. Staff made us feel really welcome. Will visit again.
Located in Blandford Forum, 25 mi from Weymouth, Lower Bryanston Farm provides a garden and free WiFi. Rooms include a private bathroom, flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with teas and herbal... My plans on check-in day went a bit haywire so I booked this one last minute and told them I would be checking in around 10.30pm. They called back saying it was too late but I explained the situation and they kindly agreed to stay up to welcome me. Thankfully I showed up early and they were still very welcoming despite the demanding schedule. The next morning Andrea cooked me a full English that was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long while. It was perfect. Andrea is a great cook and makes you feel like you’re part of her family home, not just a guest. Top that off with two wonderful dogs and you have yourself a countryside paradise.
Crown Hotel sits on the edge of Blandford, with views of the Stor River's water meadows and the town. It has a gastro-style restaurant and a stylish, upmarket bar. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our family room was huge and tastefully decorated. The location of the hotel is brilliant, the food was good if not outstanding and we would certainly go back.
Set in Blandford Forum, 25 mi from Weymouth, St Leonards Farmhouse offers a garden and free WiFi. Extremely good place to stay. Bed was comfortable. Shower was brilliant. I had the single room with private separate bathroom, not the en-suite. Breakfast was great. Highly recommend.
Located in Blandford Forum, True Lovers Knot features a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Everything. It was clean, bed most comfortable I've slept in. Good was excellent, fresh cooked. Hostess went out of her way to provide anything we needed and went out of her way to be helpful. We had our dog with us and there was a little blanket left for her use, a packet of treats and a cold sausage for breakfast. Nice touch.
