Stanhill Court Hotel is set in 35 acres of woodland yet is only 12 minutes’ from Gatwick Airport and is within easy access to the motorway. Great proximity to Gatwick airport yet tonight in the heart of beautiful English countryside. Perfect spot for overnight stay before a flight or for a great weekend getaway.
In a quiet countryside location, 2 mi from London Gatwick Airport, this 4-star bed and breakfast offers free WiFi and rooms with attached bathroom. What a charming place nestled only 5-10 minutes from the airport. It is in such a lovely home and village. Julia and David made it such a great stay and you can tell they have worked hard to make it such a beautiful place. Communication, transportation, accomodations and breakfast were all amazing. We will definitely stay here again. Way better than staying in a nearby hotel, for sure!
Waterhall Country House - Gatwick is set in 34 acres of picturesque countryside and only a 10-minute drive from Gatwick Airport. This was our fourth stay at Waterhalls. We stayed for one night prior to flying from Gatwick and left our car in the hotel car park. The room was perfectly adequate for our one night stay with a view over the beautiful back garden - we even glimpsed a stag wandering the grounds. We had a two course evening meal - sitting out in the garden to eat as it was too hot in the conservatory . A taxi was booked to pick us up at silly o'clock and arrived right on time with a vey friendly driver. Thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel
Providing free WiFi, The Maple Manor Hotel offers accommodations 1.7 mi from Crawley town center and 2.5 mi away from Gatwick Airport South Terminal. Location perfect for Gatwick Airport, The price, the room and the service were excellent. Restaurant surprisingly good! Enjoyed my short stay.
Located 1312 feet from Spire Gatwick Park Hospital and 1.1 mi from Horley Library, Hookwood Lodge provides accommodations in Horley. I was given a ground floor room which was very spacious. It appeared spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair if needed (?room 10 ) Lovely comfy bed with complimentary refreshment table, tea, coffee, water and some chocolates. Complimentary toiletries and ample towels, great shower. Flat screen TV....even a leather sofa to sit and relax on. Garden view. Friendly, pleasant staff - helped me with my luggage, which I really appreciated. I arrived and left by cab and the driveway was pebbled so I would imagine it being a nightmare if you had cases and were walking. Electric gated entry which the hotel provided me with the code before I arrived. Great pub a two minute walk away in one direction and a supermarket ( ?one of the big ones) a five minute walk in the other direction. The grounds looked lovely to have a stroll around however I didn't have the time. Importantly the airport is a five minute drive away. I booked the taxi via the airport Services however the hotel can sort out a taxi for you for half the cost ( 5 GBP instead of 11 GBP)
The common areas of the hotel were fine, but the rooms were filthy. I'm pretty sure someone had been taking a nap in my room before I entered. Pillows in disarray, évident someone had been sitting on the side of the bed. Just overall disgusting. Carpets matted with hair and dirt, and years of not being properly cleaned. Pure filth
It's beautiful and dinner is great with helpful staff. The room we had was huge by the picture on line but small in comparison when we arrived and the poster bed was a lot to be desired even though it looked nice. For your money value, I would recommend staying in a nice hotel with a lift.
This is a lovely part of the world - a perfect English village with: * two good pubs - one 'olde-worlde' with great food, beer and live music and the other is fantastic for families with small kids and also well-priced; * a fantastic cafe with filling and delicious farmhouse cooking which also welcomes dogs; * some lovely country walks in ancient woodland and lovely views; * buses from village (metrobus 21 and 22) to Crawley, Horley, Dorking and Gatwick otherwise if going without a car use Carline or United taxis for best price/service; * a newsagents for essentials with good opening hours inc. eves and Sundays plus an enormous Tesco 10 mins drive away if you've forgotten anything; * and a nice little English Bistro open Friday, Sats and Suns.
