Set in Cheddar in the Somerset region, with Cheddar Gorge Craft Village and Cheddar Gorge Caves nearby, Deluxe Riverside Static Caravan offers accommodation with free private parking. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT SPOTLESS CLEAN FAB LOCATION WELL KEPT SITE FRIENDLY STAFF
We had Sunday lunch at the Riverside it was reasonably priced and very tasty would defiantly go there again, got a ticket for the caves and only went in the Goughs cave but enjoyed this and the audio device was very informative, we went up Jacobs ladder to the viewing platform, tiering but worth it.
The holiday season hadn't really started but the Riverside pub was good for meals and drinks. The caves were closed as we're many of the shops but the gorge was as dramatic as ever. We visited early and the cheese shop was closed but it is well worth a visit.
First visit to Cheddar, so all good and lots of eating & drinking places to choose from. Unfortunately the Caves were not open which was disappointing. Some small boutique shops were also closed. However, it is all very quaint and picturesque.
The caves were not open. The village is very nice, restaurants and pubs all friendly and helpful. It's better to book for restaurants, as they fill up quickly. The views and travelling up through the gorge is excellent.
Climb Cave were absolutely brilliant for outdoor rock climbing. Andy and Rachel were so good with us all. The strawberry line from cheddar was a great cycle. Stopped at the railway inn behind the thatchers brewery for lunch and back again. The Reservoir is really lovely for a walk or short cycle. Jacobs ladder isn’t as bad as you think! Lion rock cafe afternoon tea was lovely treat but they are busy so be prepared for a wait. Zen Thai was soooooo good! Really yummy Thai food. Parsons bakery was near to our accommodation and we may have fallen in love with bacon sarnies, pasties and doughnuts! It feels busy in and around the gorge but towards the top and the bottom we always found a spot to sit and have an ice cream. One negative - the boy racers with their noisy cars ruined the peace and beauty a little.
Cheddar is a lovely little village. Full of craft shops and obviously cheese tasting, fudge shops, exactly what you would expect. Lots of lovely restaurants, tea rooms, pubs. Would recommend The Gardeners Arms, beautiful refurbished pub, excellent food and very helpful and polite staff. Children would enjoy a few hours here and adults probably longer
Cheddar
Had everything that we needed and more. Lodge was beautiful with modern decor throughout. The swimming pool was an added bonus and run on a first come first serve basis, where you had to put your fob that was supplied on the board for your chosen time each morning. Hot tub was cleaned and checked everyday (ours was between 8-9am) and was a fab addition to the property. The lodge was around 8mins away from Sainsbury’s and cheddar gorge. Weston-super-mare was half hour away. We had a lovely time at Tor Farm and we will definitely return!!!!
Cheddar
A great find for Cheddar - I'm not used to staying in static caravans but this one was really great - I'm so glad we booked it - so clean and so cosy. I didn't expect the shower to be up to much but it was really great. Lovely friendly staff and a great locality for Cheddar gorge (walking distance).
Cheddar
The cottage overall and the location was very good. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the extra bits like proper coffee, shampoo and chocolate were lovely. The beds were comfy and the towels fluffy. We liked the utility space especially. Cheddar is also a lovely town - great for a weekend away.
The lodge was lovely, all the furniture and appliances you could tell were good quality and it was nice and cosy with the hot tub. Not to mention so close to Cheddar and the gorge which are absolutely stunning, would definitely recommend
