Spotless clean, comfortable bed, nice and tasty breakfast and good parking. Lovely decor and cute garden with a pool. Great location with nice pubs and restaurants nearby and close to the Cheddar trail entry point (also the Cheddar cave if you wish to pay) But the best part of the stay was the host, very welcoming and gave us do much good advices about where to eat and what more we can see in the area, definitely will stay again at Gordon's.

Stylish room set up. The room was very clean, super comfy bed. Late check out at 12, which is great, although we had to leave early . Being in a pub there was a little noise but to be expected ...and was quiet by 11 so no problems sleeping. Overall very happy with our stay espically for the price ☺️

Wow what a great place this was! Quiet inn with big heart, fantastic staff, great food, beautiful local people to chat with, comfortable room. It was the highlight of our trip. Wendy took us under her wing immediately and ensured we had a table for the much anticipated Sunday roast. Will definitely return!

I stayed here with my two sisters, one had an adjoining room and we were all really impressed by the hotel and the staff. Rooms were beautifully clean with comfortable beds and the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We decided to eat at the restaurant on the first evening and we were not disappointed at all! Good sized portions and delicious! Breakfasts in the morning were good too. We had cooked breakfasts, good sized and they were happy to swap items for us. We had a great time here and right on the doorstep of the caves!

Breathtaking scenery.Really felt immersed in the environment. The little village of Cheddar was so quaint. We visited in the evening as well and it had such a magical atmosphere.Very pretty. We had a meal in a Greek Restaurant (oops sadly I can't remember the name) which was a welcome change from the usual fare & delightful.Great atmosphere & super friendly staff. My only regret is we didn't have time to experience the area to the full.A second visit,I think!!!

Cheddar is a must visit, the Gorge is incredible and the caves you pay to go inside are worth it especially once. Little shops all selling cider and cheese. The restaurants are great also. We used the Greek, honestly sooo good and the Italian was amazing also. Cheddar gets very busy on weekends so avoid using the car in the town centre if you can. We only used the car to drive to places outside cheddar- Wells- Glastonbury- Dorset - monkey world- Lulworth cove- Bath.

Beautiful sight seeing, hiking, climbing area.

Beautiful sight seeing, hiking, climbing area. Peaceful caves and gorge to sit and picnic. We decided not to pay for any of the sights and instead enjoy nature for free ss i had 4 different age groups of childre . We loved it so much, brought cream cakes from local shops and had picnic on clifftop and between caves. Beautiful drive between the caves. Seaside was 30mins drive. Halal Bangladeshi/Indian restaurant. Pizza shop and fish and chips all walking distance.

The property was ideal for our stay! It was spotlessly clean. Location was excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk into Cheddar/Cheddar Gorge. The bed was very comfortable. The en suite was modern & clean. Breakfast was brought across to us & was fresh & warm. And, of course, our host was very friendly, greeted us in a morning with a smile & friendly chat. Just wish we had booked for longer but will rectify that next time. I’d just like to say thanks to Lyn for the gorgeous jam.

Superb place! Convenient location for cheddar village and beyond exploration. Excellent clean and well decorated and maintained accommodation. Lovely family business, heartwarming service, just-like-my-mum-used to cook food and pleasure to talk to with baggage of local knowledge and experiences. Highly recommend! My darlingwife is not easy to please and she gave it 10 out of 10 (less the pillows comfort) 😅

Perfect location, close to two pubs, plenty of places to eat out and roughly 20 min from Cheddar Gorge. House was beautifully decorated, and appointed. We were all very comfortable, and slept very well. Our dog was very happy and settled here. Fantastic communication- warm, friendly but professional. Already rebooked for next year.

The lodge was very well appointed with everything we needed for our stay - the site itself is very peaceful with a small stream running past the lodge - we saw ducks and even an Egret feeding in there! Good spot for exploring nearby Cheddar itself, Wells, Weston-Super-Mare, Bath and Bristol.
