We had a lovely break visiting family at Reading and Bath, so ideal location south of the M4. Castle Coombe is beautiful and we managed to catch a look at The Ferrari Owners Club racing by luck. Chippenham has a great variety of shops including lots of lovely charity shops for meandering around, most large banks (unusual to see this when you live in the South East with all the branch closures, so it was noticeable) and all of the amenities you'd expect in a small town. Lots of options for coffee shops or dining, nice walks and a historic, quaint feel to the place. Lovely to see people feeding the swans, ducks and pigeons by the river. Chippenham is full of quant little villages with real character. There are amazing walks through the Cotswold hills and forests. Lovely country pubs and restaurants to drink and eat at. Don’t forget to visit the Farm Shops for great meat, vegetables and cafes.Guest review byGordonAustralia

You are greeted on arrival and made to feel very welcome. Everywhere is beautifully clean and comfortable and the staff are all very attentive. Breakfast feels very relaxed and calm, no hustle and bustle like some hotels and again, the staff do their best to make it a pleasant experience.
