Great for overnight stops when travelling North or South... A good midway stop close to the motorway... A reasonable evening Meal choice and a good breakfast with a reasonable selection from self serve counter.
Breakfast lovely buffet all you can eat Pet friendly so i could take my dog with me Directions not accurate as was on M6 north not southbound as indicated. My room was disgusting, had a dirty towel which reception changed! Couldnt use Bath as was a health and safety issue with enamel flaking off!! I wouldnt even bath my dog in it let alone use it myself.. the lamp had a torn lampshade, hardly any ceiling lights worked. Wifi was very slow and tv very small approx size of my laptop screen When i complained to manager she stated owners wont pay to update... definately NOT worth the £50 i paid for the night. Im going to be ringing to put my complaint in and ask for a refund i will never stay there again. **Smoke detector was covered with plastic bag** so if there had been a fire it wouldnt have worked so being disabled i wouldnt have had time to get myself and my dog out
Clean room with comfortable bed. Good food in the restaurant.. Apart from traffic noise as this site is on a motorway the hotel was very quiet This was just an overnight stop while travelling south from Scotland so we didn't see anything of Chorley
A nice peaceful town with lots of natural beauty and friendly people. The market was uncrowded and there were nice small shops. The take away restaurant in Town Centre provided good, tasty food on affordable prices.
As well as my previous good recommendations, can add that the reception and cleaning staff always wore face masks and were very covid conscious. Plastic protection barriers at reception desk and bar. Everywhere very clean. Hand gel dispensers in foyer. Also, my husband uses a zimmer and wheelchair, but when I mentioned this, they said there is no lift to the second floor, but they kindly made sure our room was easy access on the ground floor. Had two single beds which is what we wanted. NB No grab rails in bathroom or shower, but my husband used his zimmer to move around safely. Ramada motel also kept good pre-visit contact by text and email with confirmations and advice about arrival access. Very impressed.
I would recommend the hotel rather than the outbuildings/annexes. We only wanted a hotel en route to Alton Towers from Scotland and for the price it was fine however a Travelodge/Days Inn would be just as good. Reception staff are very accommodating.

Chorley
Quite location, large room with fridge and light breakfast provided. Perfect for our needs as we didn't want to stay in a hotel. Everything seemed to be very well organised with daily room service and replenishment of the breakfast items. Plenty of room for parking too.
Chorley
Location excellent for getting to Chorley Hospital. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet room requested and provided. Plenty of tea/coffee in the room and quality biscuits. An absolute bargain at £48.60 via booking.com. The pub served beautiful home cooked food.
The room was cancelled by the hotel the evening before arrival and as they were fully booked couldn't offer us another room. They told us that they had spoken to another hotel with a room, but when calling that hotel there was no room available.
Very very dated hotel and rooms. Also the evening food menu was very limited.
=free parking =main cities are not far from the hotel (driving a car)
Location was excellent, nearby pub quite clean hotel
