The location was perfect and the room was great, small but enough. You had everything you really needed. Shower/toilet, tvs, beds and a small microwave and sink. It was cosy and I liked being left to my own devices rather than have to be near staff all of the time.

The seafront was really clean and there were lots of places to eat and drink. The only bad thing was the lack of decent shopping. There wasn't any big retail stores even at the shopping centre there was only a factory shop. The locals were very friendly and said they had to go to Grimsby if they wanted clothes

Very much liked Cleethorpes my first visit here and found it very pleasant not crowded at all during my school holiday visit went on for a further two days to Mablethorpe which was extremely busy during my stay and did prefer the more peacefulness of Cleethorpes

    I am originally from Grimsby.

I am originally from Grimsby. I have lived away for many years but often return to Grimsby/Cleethorpes for a break. Cleethorpes is a fab place to visit for the beach, boating lake with lots of different birds. Lots of walks, restaurants and cafes. I would recommend Harriets cafe, friendly staff, with traditional home cooked food at amazing prices £8.50 for steak pie (See photo steak pie), it's the best. If you have children there is the sandpit and the paddling pool. There is also the cinema and the leisure centre. I would highly recommend Cleethorpes as a place for a mini break or a 2 week holiday. There is plenty to do for both adults and children.

It was small and traditional seaside resort. Lots to do.

It was small and traditional seaside resort. Lots to do. Very long beach. Loved Humber Pasttimes amusement arcade and its live bingo. Grimsby and its fishing museum is 10 minutes away by train. Little lollipop road train takes you to the coastal light railway which is a miniature steam train. The pier is a nice fish and chip shop. Live music at weekends. Some nice cafes. Only drawback is the shortage of public toilets. The ones in the station are open until 7pm ish. Some of the amusement arcades have paid toilets. Probably too many cars. Sitting on a bench on the promenade and I had my back to a traffic jam. Great train access and buses.

Grimsby has the docks, cleethorpes the sandy beach, the people are lovely beautiful on the inside and outside. Despite the people and areas there being destroyed by labour/eu and lots of propaganda and slander to make people think its better in London, I can clearly see its much better x100000000 than London. The yt vids are pure bs, grimsby and cleethorpes is not full of homeless and crime, you want a true British sea side experience then cleethorpes is the place!

Love Cleethorpes, plenty to do ,has a small zoo, boating lake ,MC Donald's, cinema, plenty of shops and walks, market, amusements , bars and fish shops. We love it. lots of open space dogs cannot go on the beech between April and september. but now is fine. On bus route for Grimsby to all the shops there. There's a discovery centre, mini railway and the smallest pub in the UK. Paddling pool , leisure centre with wave micheen . We only stayed one night, but it was beautiful.
