Location, excellent, car parking excellent, in our room, the bathroom enormous but there was nowhere to our wash dabs down on except the floor, or toilet seat (didn’t use that).
Bedroom well equipped but mattresses a bit tired.
Catering wise, evening meal was ok, breakfast was good, with everything you could really expect to select from.

Our stay was only for the one night but indeed wish it was for much longer. We had the executive suite which was vast and lovely with an amazing enormous bathroom and bedroom. Only minor negative was it was up a number of stairs with no lift, but certainly worth the climb. The restaurant in the evening served amazing food with staff that could not be more helpful or attentive. Breakfast the following morning was again excellent with a vast selection of cold buffet items as well as hot full english options. Overall the hotel and facilities were extremely good and all staff from the very helpful receptionist Kaff to the excellent restaurant team could not do enough to make our stay such an enjoyable one.We will be using this hotel always going forward when we come to visit our family.

There is a lot of history and beautiful scenery in this area, which we did not have enough time to fully appreciate. We will definitely be back to explore.
We stayed, and ate, at The Springfield Hotel & Spa in Pentre Halkyn (recommend it!), as it was extremely convenient and near to Llanerch-y-Mor with the Abakhan Crafters Paradise! We were attending a course there - they have many to choose from - excellent cafe and great fabric/yarn/craft & gift shops (Recommend!).
Lovely area every time I pass through.
Lovely area every time I pass through. The castle is lovely although I've not had time to sight see much. The local people I meet are lovely and helpful, everyone has been so nice every time I've come down to help out with the charity being renovated. We had a bad experience at Northrop Hall hotel eternity ring went missing and they didn't try very hard to help us find it, 3 days and they still hadn't checked or deep cleaned the room as they said they would. Huw's Greys tend to over charge unless you call ahead, that's useful if you're a builder.
I'd like to live around here. I love the people I meet here. There are always the odd few no matter where you go but they are so few who are unpleasant in this area that I think it's a wonderful unspoiled place with real people in it. Springfield are improving every time I come here.
If you want to be relaxed and still have the choice to go somewhere busy, this is a good place to go.
Bella Pasta in Chester retail park are very helpful. Springfield restaurant is good too.
My mum loved Cheshire Oaks
There are some nice little cafes towards fflint too but my mum and I both love the Springfield breakfast. Try it.

After a big meal at The Springfield, we took a walk to The Britannia Inn for a couple of drinks. This Pub has fantastic views over the Estuary and of the Wirral. Food also looked lovely but we'd already eaten.

Good hotel, convenient for visiting local attractions, shopping trips and beaches. We are in the hotel and food was well presented and a good choice on the menu. You do need a car to get around the area.
“Amazing hotel and staff! We got married there a year ago and came back for our wedding anniversary. It was lovely all the staff remembered us and made our stay as special as our wedding day was. The food is faultless, the staff are so friendly and the room was spotless! I definitely recommend this hotel.”
