Situated in Coltishall, 27 km from Cromer, Bridge House B&B features a garden and free WiFi. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a continental or a vegetarian breakfast. Very warm welcome and flexible with arrangements. Felt like part of the family. Lovely genuine people
Went for a long week-end for a surprise Fortieth birthday. Stayed at the Bridge House B & B located near the Jet station. Got down on a Friday afternoon and had a lovely Thai meal at the Red Lion in the evening. The party was held at the Rising Sun again in Coltishall during Saturday and we couldn't have been treated or fed better. The Inn is located right on the river bank with boat moorings and some good river walks. Finally Sunday evening we dined at the Recruiting Sergeant a sister inn to the Rising Sun and again were not disappointed . Coltishall is a great place for discovering the villages and towns in the area and you will not meet friendlier people.
Beautiful place, very relaxing and loads to do. Plenty of places to eat and see. Would recommend the hotel as it was very tranquil beautiful and comfortable. We were at a wedding there and the staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was very nice Along with the hosts The room wasn’t ideal Although looked nice inside Was very hot and had to sleep with doors open with opened it up to very busy main road impossible to sleep with doors closed with intense heat
Nice village on the River Bure, close to Norfolk Broads. Easy driving distance to North Norfolk coast for Cromer, Wells and Blakeney also near to Norwich and Gt. Yarmouth. Plenty of National Trust properties close by including Blickling Hall (now open 363 days a year!)
The accommodation was excellent, it. Was great having a patio to sit and enjoy the weather and garden. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. We visited Ranworth church and broads, and Roy's of Wroxham for a shopping treat. The restaurants recommended were great, the location of the Ferry Inn at Horning was easy to find with Tony,s directions. Nice couple of days in Norfolk
Coltishall is ideal as a base for exploring Norwich and the Broads (15 mins or so drive away) or the north Norfolk area, without being too touristy. For a small town, there are a remarkable number of excellent restaurants in walking distances (we sampled and loved The Recruiting Sergeant, King's Head and Norfolk Mead Hotel) plus a tea room, and some takeaways. There's also a small petrol station next to the bridge (very handy after a long drive). Do take a torch with you as there are few street lights, and you'll need one for walking back from restaurants.
