Extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished, very clean and in an idyllic country location. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the amazing cake on arrival Sophie! Plenty of places to visit in the surrounding areas....several paddocks 2 minutes away which was ideal for our dogs. My 2 year old Grandson loved the Chickens and of course Hugo & Toffee. We will certainly be back!

This was our first time in Cranbook and we really liked it. The hotel was very quaint and our room was charming,. Both it and the beds were very comfortable. The people at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent
Very interesting hotel of considerable historical significance. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Enjoyed breakfast & dinner. Room large, spotlessly clean & attractive with historical features. Bed rather hard - could do with a new mattress! Enjoyable stay.
Cranbrook is a pretty, architecturally interesting and lively Wealden town that has plenty of interesting shops, restaurants and bars. The church is well worth a visit, as is the windmill a little outside of the town. The two as a whole is pedestrian-friendly. There is plenty of lovely countryside around and other villages and places to visit if you have a car. For example, Sissnghust gardens are not far away. An excellent weekend break
Quaint little town but a lot of the places to eat were closed in the evening. Takeaway fish and chips, chinese and Indian were open but no eat in options. The focal point of the town, Union Mill was closed for renovations. The Larkins ale house was very popular and our favourite place, but lacked any social distancing and in the evening became very over crowded. The food in The Hive was freshly cooked and delicious but didn’t serve food past about 7.00pm.
No parking. Had to carry bags quite a way to the hotel. I had asked for parking when we booked. Bedroom right next to a very noisy air filter so loud it prevented us sleeping most of the night. The hotel is very tired with worn carpets and bodged repairs on some walls. I would not recommend this hotel.
Cranbrook is a lovely village in the heart of Kent, surrounded by rolling fields and farmland, with very helpful villagers. The local shop stocks everything you could need for your stay. An ideal property if you want to follow the public walk ways and paths. Well worth a visit.
The hotel is historic and beautiful. It's a good mix of traditional and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and overall it was excellent value for money.
