Room was very spacious with a beautiful view. It’s in a quaint and beautiful location. Food was good. Restaurant views are just as beautiful. The spa services were nice. Most of the staff is friendly, particularly the older gentleman in the restaurant who is very soft spoken, kind, and tentative.

I was with a group of people and we explored many of the surrounding places. Fantastic walking country and amazing scenery. Lots of history around there also, We had good meals in both the Buckley Arms Hotel and the Llew Coch. I stayed at the Buckley Arms which was clean, comfortable and quite luxurious!
If you haven't got a car the only way to get to Dinas Mawddwy is to catch the school bus from Machynlleth at 3.35 pm. However this does not run Saturdays and Sundays so not sure what you'd do then.

The village is ‘off the beaten track’.
The village is ‘off the beaten track’. It’s quiet with friendly locals in a good community cafe and pub The surrounding scenery is very green and rural with ancient pathways, woods and lovely views. There’s a good choice of walking routes. The car park is free and a good starting point for the walks. The village is a good base to explore nearby towns- Dolgellau and the coast and Machynlleth with its shops and art gallery.

The farm was easy to find.
The farm was easy to find. Parking was easy enough even though we had 2 cars between us. It's fairly remote and no shops nearby so take what you need with you. The nearest town Machynlleth is around 20 minutes away but has minimal shops. This is not a criticism. The nearby Red lion pub serves excellent food and drink. The staff are very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings there. There are plenty of places to visit within an hours drive of the farm and the roads are good quality and safe.
The fixtures and fittings in the farm are first rate, no tired furniture there. I'm sure the Farmer told me that his son is a qualified carpenter and this shows.
Thanks for a very pleasant stay.
Working farm feeling , morning chickens and sheep sounds all around -live stock experience was much better than posh hotel.
Very cosy interaction with owners and based on size of the dinning table/ room realy limited number of guests staying at any given time was a real eye opener in regards to less is better. 🙂
Set of well kept, soft towels was provided which is always a bonus especially when home brought items are wet after wild swimming.
Everything else. The staff, the room, the bed, the surroundings, the breakfast, it was all great, exceptional. The quality toiletries supplied, the slippers & dressing gowns with the hotel logo were all such a quality touch. Even the coat hangers, bedding & towels carried the hotel logo; marvellous attention to detail. Everything had comfort at the heart of it for the guest, right down to the expensive cotton bedding.
The hotel had character and comfort and was spotless. Bed linen and towels were beautiful.
New hosts were thoughtful and kind - we stayed on our 48th wedding anniversary as it had been the venue for our reception all those years ago - a bottle of bubbly was waiting in our room. The Chinese food was delicious as were the breakfasts.
Large room and bathroom in excellent condition. Very helpful staff . Nice Chinese restaurant in evening and superb Welsh breakfast. Breakfast available very early which can be good for walkers. Room was well heated. This is not a faded glory type hotel and all was in good condition.
Really friendly Hotel with the most sumptuous, cosiest bed we have ever slept in. Fabulous evening meal from the in-house Chinese Restaraunt. Really lovely breakfast with great views of the Welsh countryside.
