Set in 3 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens, this bright and modern hotel offers en-suite rooms with free parking and Wi-Fi. Each luxurious guest room is individually furnished. I arrived to be with friends to attend the funeral of our Chiefy of so many years ago. The hotel staff, from reception to departure understood our needs in every way. The hotel rooms--dinning, bar, private reception all exceeded my expectation. My bedroom was of a very good size with a large double bed so comfortable that, each night, I slept well beyond my normal 4 hours. The shower was in the bath which wasn't a problem for me but maybe some would prefer a 'walk in' style. I'm sure this would be available if requested. Reception were most helpful with each request and there was always a smile along with the answers. Breakfast included a wide choice from continental to kippers and beyond. I settled for a full fry up which again well exceeded any expectations I had. For myself, I don't often 'dine in', preferring instead to explore local restaurants. However this time, with friends we booked a table for both nights and all of us expressed our delight in the quality and wide choice available. A wide choice of wines too with many countries represented. As with all dinning establishments, I don't appreciate the un-called-for high mark up on wine at the table. It seems to be a practice which can take the edge off of a very pleasurable dinning experience for me. That said, I would recommend dinning in at this hotel. After dinner drinks at the bar which included a fantastic choice of malts would satisfy any pallet. I could not fault this hotel and can confidently recommend it to all. A ten out of ten for me.

Great apartment and the host was very helpful and told us where a lot of attractions were. The unit was super clean, but I was taken back when she asked for a cash deposit to cover any damages. I understand whey but was still confronted by it.
Dunfermline line is a quiet and clean city, people appears friendly and helpful when needed. Very good number of shops and restaurants are available. The transportation system is also good but descriptions on bus stops not well marked out like we have in London and the frequency of buses are a bit far apart. Next time when travelling I'll travel by train not bus, as buses journey is too long.
I love Dunfermline as I was brought up there and stayed there for many years. The hotel was great, comfortable room with beautiful shower and facilities however as the property is on the main High Street I found it rather noisy late at night however on speaking to staff they did say that if I stay there again to ask for a specific room which is located at the back. The food was cheap and plentiful, the beer was cheap and overall a very comfortable stay.
Dunfermline is the ancient capital of Scotland, burial place of seven Scottish Kings including King Robert The Bruce . King Charles 1 was born in the Palace now a ruin which lies partly in the grounds of Pittencrieff Park an estate bought by Andrew Carnegie and gifted to the townspeople. Carnegie’s Birthplace and museum are well worth a visit. The library and museum nearby have blended old and new architecture to maximum use. Entertainment venues include Carnegie Hall and the Alhambra Theatre. Dunfermline has good public transport Links to Edinburgh Perth and Glasgow. There are many restaurants in the city serving food from around the world.
Dunfermiline is a great place to visit. Pittencrieff Park is lovely, The Abbey and palace are worth a look, as is the Carnegie Library and galleries. Picturesque town hall and clock tower. Many eating places and pubs.
Dunfermline Is one of my family ancestral homes, so a very special to me with ancestors buried in the Abbey graveyard. But even without that, the Abbey is a historical treasure and has recently been given special attention by Historic Scotland, with new lighting in the ancient abbey nave and new areas opened up to the public including a stone exhibition and storyboards. It is well worth a morning or afternoon visit and time with the knowledgeable volunteer guides who can show you where the royal tombs are.
The staff were absolutely excellent, very friendly, efficient and helpful and will go out of their way to look after you. Room was really clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a great location, very convenient for the bus station and the local bar, shops and restaurants etc. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Dunfermline and would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The staff made the stay really good. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. And the bed was one of the comfiest I've ever had in a hotel. It was also very central, great for sightseeing in Dunfermline and I didn't hear a single sound from the bar or restaurant which was right beside my room.
.Family run hotel, very clean and host was very friendly and welcoming. Quiet location however on bus route to town centre. Train station only 5 minute walk. Breakfast was great. Host couldn't do enough for us. Definitely recommend.
room was ideal, with everything we needed and the staff were excellent! Visiting friends we know the area but would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Dunfermline or surrounding area as opposed to chain hotels.
The room was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful with my stationery requests (scanning, copying, printing). Parking at the hotel was adequate.
was clean, staff were superb. I grew up in Dunfermline and now live down south but was nice for a visit back home, definitely use this hotel again.
Nice hotel with lovely grounds. Spotlessly clean and everything you need in the room. It’s a 30 minute walk into the town centre.
