Desk staff at arrival were really friendly. Although I couldnt access the room due to early arrival for a wedding, they allowed me to do the check in process so I could go straight to my room later that evening.

The house was warm and comfortable, rooms were spacious, the master bedroom was very comfortable. The enclosed garden was great for the dog. The bar was good and staff friendly. We didn't use the swimming pool but it did look good. Area was beautiful with some lovely walks.

Great house, in a fab location. Loved the beds and the hot tub. The dogs loved the river.
The house was well laid out and comfortable.
Came home and immediately rebooked in March. Lots of dog friendly places.
Very busy but located on River Tay. Ample parking for visitors, go to the outdoor area at The Taybank PH. Good fish & chip restaurant, shopping for those who wish to browse. Great place for dog walking and hiking.

We have visited Dunkeld often over the years and find it a lovely town with good shops and wonderful walks especially along the river Tay. It has many cafes and restaurants and places to relax. In the summer it is very crowded and the traffic is heavy through the town. Car parking is an issue.

We came here for a wedding but had a chance to explore the area a little. The river walk into Dunkeld is idyllic and took a long time as I took time to sit by the majestic River Tay. We ate at both the Atholl Arms Hotel and Taybank Hotel. The food is very good but expensive although the view from the terrace is wonderful. There is not much vegetarian on the menu but always at least one option.
The Beatrix Potter Garden was lovely with an interesting and inexpensive exhibition as well.

We stayed here for a Landrover Experience day in Butterstone, which was just a few miles up the road.
It was 50 years since my last visit to Birnam...when i was Youth Hosteling as a 15 year old.
We ate our evening meal in the Inn right next door to the Hotel.
Next time we'd like to stay a bit longer.
We were only at the Birnam for an overnight on our way up to the Highlands, but we had a nice stay. The room was a good size and while we did not eat the breakfast offered in the morning, it smelled lovely! The hotel has a very old, Scottish decor, which was very cozy and overall we enjoyed our night. The location cannot be beat, because it is right outside of the lovely village of Dunkeld which was offers great food and cute stores.
The location by the river was fantastic. The staff were attentive and informative. The food was great with plenty of vegan options. The bed was comfortable. Very very very dog friendly hotel with treats, bed, bowl, towel and toys provided and a doggy menu available. Dunkeld is such a lovely place with lots of independent shops. We also got an upgrade to a river view with it being my birthday, plus a card from the team - thank you!
It’s location next to the River Tay. Hotel has been modernised since we went last year. Its just peaceful, comfortable and the food and service is always first class. Lovely walks along the river into Dunkeld. Lots of places nearby to go visit. There are leisure facilities and pool for use as a resident if that’s your thing.
Nice location a relatively short walk to/from the centre of Dunkeld. On a unique street on the grounds of an estate. Hard to describe, but there are old buildings and a grand looking hotel and iron gate at the street as you turn onto the small street to the B&B. Comfortable, clean room and friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
