Our hosts were very helpful - and the "paper map" they gave us helped us find West Kennet Long Barrow, when "Siri" directed us to a deserted wheat field and left us next to a mound of straw and cow manure! The "primitive" paper map, however, took us directly to this historic site and saved the day! Whew!

Hidden gem, this B&B is way above standard, without doubt the best we ever slept in the past 25 years., to name a few reasons: - A warm welcome by the owners and also being very helpfull too - Very spacious room with good beds and a georgious bathroom with bath and seperate shower - Very convenient located just off the main road towards Avebury (1,4 Miles away) - we both can't remember a breakfast that was so good as the one we got served, a large array of fresh where possible local produce. This B&B is way above the standard B&B where we stay ussually, and i can assure you that we tested a few in the past 25 yrs

In a 16th-century inn, Castle and Ball is rich in character, and features a traditional restaurant and ale bar. Location in a wonderful market town, great room, terrific food and breakfast...staff was excellent. And free parking. Really enjoyed our visit

It is a lovely place. The food was good, and everyone did their best to make my stay enjoyable. The staff helped with bags, and the owners are very kind people with roots in the town.
