We LOVE the host's hospitality! Kevin was an absolute gem! The place was the first stop on our honeymoon, and thanks to Kevin's hospitality, we felt it was the best start we could have ever had! We also loved how big the room and the bathroom were, and the lovely breakfast every morning! Simply blew our minds!

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

It immediately became a TOP 1 or 2 of the city I would see myself living in. An amazing and beautiful architecture, not as crowded as the social media sometimes shows (maybe we were at the right season as well). Peaceful, feeling always safe! 100% recommended!

I could not find fault with my time in Edinburgh,my hotel was great, the food was excellent, especially the pastry goods, and cakes. From Edinburgh you can get to a multitude of other places, either by Bus or Train,or by taking one of the many tours on offer. I was there for two weeks, but could have stayed longer, and will go back again.

I visited with the intention of attending the Tattoo.

I visited with the intention of attending the Tattoo. I flew in on the morning and went to the tattoo in the early evening. I managed to fit in a walking tour at the Real Mary Kings on Sunday morning and followed this with attending four fringe shows and a lot of city walking. Monday was more leisurely with a train ride to Loch Lomond. There is a lot of Harry Potter type architecture in the old city. Just look up at the skyline Edinburgh was great to walk in with plenty to see and do without the Fringe. Not too expensive to eat and drink with lots of local coffee shops and cafes available serving good food. I found The Cafe on the mound serving home cooked food and barista coffee. Dinner was less than £10. Public transport in and around Edinburgh is brilliant and not too expensive. I didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a bus back to my accommodation. I would love to go back just to explore.

My wife and I stayed in Old Town for the first 4 days of our trip because our objective was to take in as much of the Fringe as possible. It worked well being in the center of activity. The other 6 days were in New Town and the pace of city slowed down a bit. At our age, we preferred the New Town.

The location is ideal next to Leith historic dock with many Bars & Fine restaurants A warm welcome from the staff who provided excellent service during my stay Car Park at the hotel was a key feature for me, and parking was easy, available on site at no extra cost. The Tram stop is short walk from hotel and offers a direct transport connection with the Edinburgh City centre and the Airport. My room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, the bathroom was excellent with both bath & separate shower cubicle.

Hotel was clean, and breakfast was delicious. We came for the royal Highland show, and the location of the hotel was close to the show ground, so didn't need to travel far to get too it. Also there is a 3 minute walk from the hotel to a tram stop, which is cheap and you can get straight on and into the city centre of Edinburgh in minutes
