We visit Exmouth at least 3 or 4 times a year and always have a few days accommodation there in the summer . Every time we come Exmouth is having improvements done and it gets better we think it has a bit of everything for all age groups, Bournemouth used to be our favourite seaside place for holidays but we choose Exmouth any time now .
A very nice place to visit for Estuary walks. Beach and Clifftop walks. Lots of pubs and restaurants. Boat trips in season. Plenty of space and you can find quiet places if you prefer to walk alone.
Good location and easy to get around, good public transport links to Exeter and nearby villages. Super long sandy beach with easy access to the South West Coast Path, Exe Estuary Trail and water sports
Great beach front and harbour area, some lovely restaurants and pubs, town centre is looking a bit tired in parts but otherwise a location we have visited a number of times and will continue to do so. Namaste and Saveur restaurants are a must as well as The Grapevine brew house for a choice of real ales. Best still grab a takeaway pizza from The Pizza Garden and sit on the beach.
Nice long promenade and beach. Plenty of parking along the promenade. Lots of places to eat and drink. Good base to visit surrounding attractions. Good bus and train service. Not too busy even during half term holidays. It has a cinema showing latest films. Struggling to find any negatives.
We visit several times a year. Easily accessible by train. There are excellent restaurants and interesting things to see, especially the Museum and A la Rond. Good public transport to other places in South East Devon and a ferry across the Exe to Star Cross.
The location was good and our room overlooked the estuary which was lovely. Exmouth is a great town when looking for something to do, we got the train into Exeter, a boat cruise and the cinema is right in the centre of town. Really good cafes and bakery in town. The hotel has a good location with just a short walk into town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating outside to take in the lovely scenery.
Exmouth
The cottage has been amazingly restored to an extremely high standard and is filled with things that made our stay extremely comfortable and relaxing. Great communication with the hosts who couldn’t not do enough for us. A great location for Exmouth, Woodbury Common, the beautiful village of Lympstone as well as the Exe estuary. I cant recommend this great place enough.

Absolute delight to stay at the Swallows. The building itself is charming, the rooms are beautifully decorated and elegantly furnished, and super comfortable; the host Ian was very generous with his time and made the stay extra special; and, it is true, the breakfast was sumptuous! Highly recommended. I will definitely be staying when next in Exmouth!

Craig and Theresa went the extra mile to help make the stay as comfortable as possible too. They did a great job! Wouldn't hesitate to return!
