Breakfast and dinner were great and we would have loved to stay longer than just two days. We can only recommend Ardtalla if you're up to interesting conversations with your hosts, love the countryside, and enjoy a bed & breakfast experience right from a storybook!

Stayed over one night - Kelpies and Wheel was beautiful and fasciniating. Town obviously industrial - was difficult to find a good take-out and. I’m sure during a longer stay we might enjoy more attractions and find our way around a bit better.
Retail park is good. The town centre is limited. There is easy access to Bo’ness, Grangemouth, Stirling, Linlithgow etc. There are plenty of supermarkets available. The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel are the main attractions if on holiday.
Falkirk is much more of a tourist destination than I had expected! Really loved trips round the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. Lots of great restaurants and green space, a nice little town to wander around. I ate in Erewan, Christies and Behind the Wall, all were good though Behind the Wall a little noisy.
Falkirk is a gem of a place! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, but wish I had had longer to enjoy all of it's sights. The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel were fascinating. Two great places not to miss on a visit. So much to see we will be back again soon.
The Falkirk Wheel is amazing. Take the excursion boat ride up and back down. You can get there by taking the #6 bus which goes directly to the Wheel. We loved the Kelpies - well worth a visit. However, the bus only comes about a mile from them. If you walk back to the bus through the park it is a pleasant walk, but after all the other walking, adding a 2 mile round trip walking is a bit much. In spite of the additional cost I think a taxi would be better.
A visit to Helix Park and the Kelpies is a must as is The Falkirk Wheel We enjoyed a ride on the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway and were in luck as it was a steam train day!!! Lovely walk from the Union Street carpark around the edge of the Forth river and on the harbour jetties You can see the Firth of Forth road and rail bridges along the way
Falkirk
All the food was A1. Perfectly cooked breakfasts with home made conserves with as much fresh coffee as you wish. Location excellent combining countryside peace with interesting moss country but with ready access to local attractions - Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies and Forth Bridges (find Port Elgin for best views). Oh, and did I mention the malt whisky provided in every room?
The breakfast room was very nice with a lot of variety in choices. The room itself was clean and I liked the big window. Also, this hotel was within walking distance of several local attractions, for example we walked to the Falkirk Wheel which was about one mile away. Also, a nice park across the street which hosted a bagpiper one of the evenings we were there.
Falkirk
Such a beautifully quaint studio, everything that my dad and I needed for our time in Scotland was available. We had such a comfortable stay, especially coming back after long days of exploring and sightseeing, it was the perfect place to wind down and relax at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Falkirk
The Orchard is in in the centre of Falkirk, just a minute's walk away from the pedestrian zone, so that's nice. It is however situated next to a throughfare (not that busy) with views over the back of a derelict shopping centre and a defunct hotel.
Falkirk
The location was convenient for arriving by motorway, the check-in (remotely arranged) was easy and the apartment was very clean, well-equipped and comfortable. There was a large retail park close by and Falkirk town centre was easily accessed on foot.
The rooms are well equipped, and the bathroom is surprisingly big and clean. We only stayed one night, and not a long one either, but it was ok. The hotel has a night porter for if you need something.
Falkirk
Absolutely gleaming clean! Spotless. Loved the location on farm and for walking. 15 mins by car to town centre of Falkirk. Lovely smart kitchen with plenty of room to work.
Staff very pleasant and efficient. Hotel very clean and spot-on with Covid procedures. Felt very safe here in the current situation. Superb stay. Thank you.
Falkirk
Spacious flat and ideal for a short stay. Good range of appliances. Good location for the attractions we wanted to visit in the Falkirk area.
good location. we went to see the Kelpies & the Falkirk wheel so only a 5 min drive from the hotel to the Kelpies.
Falkirk
How close to the town centre and within walking distance to kelpies etc
The location was perfect for what I was in the area for.
