Boasting a garden, The Studio at Maspie House features accommodations in Falkland with free WiFi and garden views. It is located 328 feet from Falkland Palace and offers luggage storage space. Beautiful setting. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Host was very welcoming. Definitely recommend
On the edge of the Lomond Hills Regional Park, The Hayloft is a cozy ground-floor apartment in the Fife town of Falkland. There was a scone on arrival which was such a nice touch (and shortbread the following day, and fruit cake the day after that!) Very clear instructions of where to collect keys from. The self contained flat had everything I needed, and the private courtyard garden was a real plus. Nice and peaceful location.
Boasting a restaurant, a bar, and a garden, The Bruce features accommodations in Fife with free WiFi and mountain views. The accommodations is 16 mi from Perth. Located in Fife in the Fife region, 6 Bedroom Home - Newton Manor House features a garden. Everything! When you enter the house it's even more grand than expected. More than enough room for a large group. Lovely secluded back garden with BBQ facilities and fire pit for cozy evenings which was set up for our arrival as I'd enquired about a BBQ. Communication with hosts was brilliant couldn't have asked for more. A purse was left behind and they kindly offered to post it signed delivery. I will definitely be back!
Falkland is a beautiful town. Not too busy with traffic. Interesting shops and plenty of pubs and cafes to eat in. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. We loved the cobbles but there were also smooth surfaces that we could push the baby buggy on. There is lots to do in the town and in the local area. We will definately go again.
We liked everything about the hotel, we had our meal in the bar which was delicious, but I do have one small complaint i would have liked a cusion on the chairs they were a bit hard to sit on after a few hours, but maybe I will just have another drink the next time and it won't bother me lol
Falkland is a rural village boasting beautiful gardens and historical buildings. It has some lovely pubs and homeware shops to visit and buy gifts. There is also a food shop, bank, chemist and a cafe too. There is a lovely palace and large gardens to visit. there is also a lovely walk to Mapsie Den waterfall starting at the school at the top of the village.
Great 1 night stop. Very neat village to walk around, and so many great shops to visit. A handful of good restaurants to choose from as well. We didn't visit Falkland Palace but it looks beautiful from the outside!
The Palace and the quaint village streets were a pleasure to explore. The food and service at the Stag Inn was excellent and being dog friendly was a bonus. The Hayloft for lunch was excellent also.
Falkland is very central for touring. We were able to eat in most nights to keep our budget down, due to the excellent kitchen facilities we had at our cottage and the local shops. It is not massively touristy so you could find the peace and quiet. It is central enough to go to most tourist attractions in a day trip.
