The location was perfect, every single member of the staff was helpful and friendly (ask Annie where to eat!) and the place itself is beautiful. That it’s been in the family almost 50 years is palpable. I felt that I was visiting cousins I’d never met. The heater in the bathroom meant your bath towel (and underwear…) was always dry in time. Breakfast kept you going all day. Plenty of gorgeous walks right outside your door. And the VIEWS!

The staff throughout were some of the most friendly, helpful professionals I’ve experienced in a hotel and I’ve travelled extensively for years. The breakfast was wonderful; very tasty and what views of the harbour. The bar downstairs again excellent food, well made and served drinks and the view was amazing. Reception couldn’t be better and please relay my appreciation to them. Many thing we liked but great that so many visitors were allowed to bring their dog into the hotel.

Falmouth is a lovely Cornish town, filled with independent shops and eateries that make browsing and chilling out a treat. The river, the Marina and Maritime Museum add to the ambience and it has the added bonus of a regular ferry over to St Mawes. The Pendennis Headland, with it's wood lined paths that give glimpses of the sea, is worth having a walk out for to see the star fort and small castle. From here you can access short walks through very mature woodland with gorgeous old trees throughout the headland. Worth a visit.

excellent bus service, easy to get around without a car. Great area for coastal walking, lovely walk from Gyllingvase beach to Swanpool. A fun way to travel get the ferry to St Mawes or cross the river at Helford Passage. Gweek seal sanctuary is also an interesting visit.

Loved the interesting shops and good selection of cafes, bars, restaurants etc. The fish and chips at Harbour Lights were great and we really enjoyed the tapas restaurant Bodega. Able to explore everything in Falmouth on foot if you are based close enough, parking the car every day can be costly. Enjoyed getting the ferry to explore St Mawes. Josh of Wake & Ski was a great instructor for our teenagers trying water skiing for the first time. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek was lovely, and just a half hour drive away. Everybody was very friendly, there's a lovely atmosphere in Falmouth.

I found Falmouth to be a lovely seaside resort lined with many independent shops and eateries in an amazing shopping high street which seemed to go on forever. As well as the usual high street brands, there were shops of every description, some selling Cornish fudge and cream, others with ethnic wares, gifts and souvenirs and handmade items, as well as places teeming with local history. I also loved the harbour and the little nooks and crannies here and there, including Jacobs Ladder (with its 111 steps). I went on a Falmouth ghost walk one evening with a local guide who astonished the group with eerie tales, sightings and played shanties with his accordion. My mother and I sampled some very tasty and freshly cooked fish and chips too, as well as other Cornish delights. Sadly, our visit was too short. We only scratched the surface on this trip, so would definitely visit Falmouth again.

Great town any time of the year with lots to do for all age groups. Some amazing food choices whether you're food-on-the-going it or looking to sit down. Various budgets to suit everyone. Packed with lots of choices for a drink or three! Shops aplenty from essentials to clothes to gifts. Lovely beaches and a castle.

The location was fabulous near the beach and a short walk into Falmouth, but not for people with mobility issues. The hotel was modern, and most areas of the hotel were very stylish. Our room 11 was comfortable and was clean with a view partially looking over the sea but not exceptional for the money we paid. No aircon, safe or fridge. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were excellent but prices for evening meals were very expensive, so we ate elsewhere most evenings.

Everything, location was wonderful by the seafront, reception and breakfast ladies very friendly and helpful, they could accommodate our early morning breakfast. The little hotel is very pretty itself and has a very decent size bfast room with sea views. I went with my daughter to visit Penryn Univ campus for one night and we really enjoyed the hotel service and the evening in Falmouth. They offer chilled bottles of water (tap water) to take to your room as well as tea and coffee at reception, nice touch.

The hotel room itself was clean. We didn't use the kitchen but when we poked our head in it looked clean. The price was good for Falmouth. The room was spacious and had what we needed for a short stay. The door codes were helpful as we didn't need to bring an actual door key around with us. The car park was up a steep angle for our poor little car, but it was good that there were spaces. The bathroom was small but nice.
