Overlooking the National Trust site, Frensham Great Pond, this 15th-century country house features a bar and traditional restaurant. Frensham Pond Hotel is just a 10-minute drive from Farnham. We are at the end of nine months in the UK and after self catering we decided to treat ourselves to a hotel. This hotel was chosen as we wanted to revisit the Sculpture Park and to be close to family who were an hour away. Staff were just so friendly and we were made very welcome for the week that we stayed. The walks around Great Pond are excellent and Little Pond is a short drive away. We would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Awarded 4 stars with a silver accolade by Visit Britain and surrounded by Surrey’s scenic countryside, The Princess Royal is located just outside historic Farnham in the village of Runfold. The Staff were very welcoming and constantly helpful. The rooms were a good size, well decorated with nice touches like a carton of milk left in the fridge for tea/coffee, great shower and very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast too.

In the historic market town of Farnham, this privately owned and managed hotel is a charming 18th-century residence, carefully modernized to provide beautiful rooms with attached bathroom. I’ve stayed here twice and both times were very pleasant. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of a Waitrose and all of the downtown shops. Farnham is a lovely market town and The Bishop’s Table only adds to the enjoyment.

Incredibly beautiful small city with nice and diverse restaurants for breakfast, bruch, lunch and dinner. Recommended for families (not only). Beautiful countryside with a lot of things to do. Proximity to London and other cities in the south. Charming small shops and alleys. Parks with a lot of beautiful trees (especially chestnuts) and activities. A visit to Jane Austen’s house (in close proximity) is a must.
Nice place, town centre has a good choice of restaurants, including several independents. Everything you need in one place. Recommend Mercure Farnham Bush Hotel Murder Mystery. Book restaurants ahead of time as the independents are very popular
We didn't leave the hotel except to walk around the pond; no great views and difficult, sandy terrain. Ate afternoon tea and a snack plus ice cream in the hotel. Ok but not great. Coffee at breakfast was insipid. I would not stay at such an overrated hotel/spa, which does not bend over backwards to fulfill expectations, but only thinks of making profits.
We were visiting family so not a sightseeing trip. Farnham, once upon a time, was a lovely town but parking difficult & too much traffic - definitely not easy to get around! Loads of coffee shops & charity shops but not much else. We had a family meal at Bills which was fine - nice food and friendly staff
Was a lovely stay and wish we stayed longer. The pond was beautiful and you could have a drink or eat there and admire the view. Ample parking and check in was quick and easy. We didn’t think that we would be able to get ready for the wedding in our room, but it was ready and was only 11.30. We cannot wait to return and stay longer. Thank you to all the staff.
We enjoyed Farnham. We visited Frensham Ponds, Waverley Abbey and the Sculpture Park. Had great evening meals at The Spotted Cow, The Duke of Cambridge and The Bel and Dragon. Lunch at Cote in Farnham was also very good.
Location, the rooms and the staff. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful. The room was perfect and we were lucky enough to have patio door and outdoor seating area. The grounds looked lovely and were well maintained with only the weather stopping us from exploring more. Two minutes from Farnham centre but felt like miles from anywhere.

Fantastic upgrade to The bush hotel. We had stopped coming here as it was run down and the staff were not very friendly or attentive. Decided to give it another go after their renovations and we were extremely impressed.
