Karl was really easy to contact and very helpful letting us check in early. The property was incredibly clean and came equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Located in Ferndown, 22 mi from Lulworth Cove, Violet 28 Oakdene Forest Park provides a bar and free WiFi. We had a wonderful stay in this lovely lodge. Communication with Roger was very good he replied very quickly to even the smallest query. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. With it having a brilliant American style fridge freezer we were able to take homemade frozen meals with us which we were able to eat in the lively decking, this was important for us as we had our 11 month old spaniel with us and eating out can be a little challenging at times. It’s position is perfect, very nice and private yet close to the amenities. It was the ideal holiday to be able to relax and enjoy a break whilst feeling safe in these uncertain covid times. Thank you Roger for a lovely stay.

A pleasant small village-like town with a reasonable range...
A pleasant small village-like town with a reasonable range of amenities. Traffic passes by Ferndown so it's never too busy that you get a jam or cannot find a parking space although there is not a lot of it. Quite nice to get away from the ultra busy main roads and sample a small piece of tranquility. Plenty of eateries. The sort of place where you can get a lot of what you want without having to go into bournemouth or Poole. The big shops and supermarkets are at Castlepoint, some 15/20 mins away (depending on traffic) always watch out for the myriad of speed cameras all over Bournemouth, strong enforcement.

Good location for going to other places and handy for shops. Playroom good for young ones. On a busy road but that didn't affect us too much. Front bedrooms a bit noisy due to traffic. Going out early is the way to get to places without traffic problems.

A great location for exploring Dorset.
A great location for exploring Dorset. Close to Wimborne Minister very charming town. Pool and Bournemouth are close by well worth a visit. Best of all is the Corfu Castle steam train ride to Swanage

A good hotel overall had a problem the first night with the...
A good hotel overall had a problem the first night with the room but the staff dealt with it quickly and efficiently,we were moved rooms which interrupted the break and was slightly disappointing.But the location and standard was faultless,the menu limited and couldn't eat there every evening due to this factor. I would have no trouble steering people to this Hotel as overall very enjoyable.The location is around ten minutes from Bournemouth sea front where there is a car park next to beach.

A very nice hotel where we had rooms overlooking the river which is picturesque. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice bar and restaurant area. I would like to see more menu choice although the food is excellent, we ate in the restaurant on 2 occasions. Breakfast is either Continental or Full/partial English which is very good. Plenty of parking space, well situated for visiting coastal areas such as Bournemouth and Poole or further afield. The hotel is located on Ringwood road which is an extremely busy road although once in the hotel we did not hear any traffic noise. There is 2 local pubs serving pub grub within walking distance (less than a mile) if you did want a change, we ate in the White Hart. I would certainly recommend booking this hotel

Stayed at Dudsbury Golf and Spa Hotel....really modern throughout and great spa and pool facilities. Food and Bar very good and great location for work functions. Very close proximity to Bournemouth Airport. Loads of eating establishments nearby for lunch and/or dinner. (The Pear at Parley and The Horns to name a couple) Bournemouth and Sandbanks are only 15/20 mins drive away but can take longer at peak times.
