The lane itself is a quiet, traffic-free backwater so it is a perfect place to stay for a visit to Thaxted, or in our case for a wedding in the church, which is at the end of the lane. The house is well equiped, clean, and very comfortable with plenty of space for a short stay.

Unique location, opposite the church, in a historic building. Excellent communication throughout. Cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay.

Each room at the 3-star inn has garden views, and guests can enjoy access to a bar and to a garden. everything .. itit’s not the Marriot . but it’s clean nice size room and felt good great friendly staff . long story I missed my flight end ended up at farmhouse in couldn’t get another taxi tried Uber . all local taxicompanies bolt etc but missed another flight because of that as soon as they were up I explained and they helped me with everything ..
