FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!

Did the hop on off bus had a great driver who gave a personal commentary including singing a very enjoyable trip. Glasgow had protests that day so it disrupted to towns transport flow causing travelers returning rental cars to be late with the flow on effecting those awaiting pickups.

Not as interesting as Edingburgh. Unfortunately they didn´t respect all the beautiful old buildings, but have build a lot of modern, not nice, building in between. And lot of rubish in the streets. Many good museums.

The best thing was the Burrell Collection. great building wonderful setting we spent longer in there than any other museum ever - brilliantly presented lovely art. Kelvingrove was also good and the Mackintosh house - but equally great was walking around the streets and looking at the different neighbourhoods. Oh and student jazz in the pub

    Came to see Foo fighters.

Came to see Foo fighters. Easy to get from Govan to Hampden park. 15 mins in a taxi. After the concert no chance, no one would pick up with Uber. We walked to Asda and finally at 2am we got a taxi back to Govan.

I went to Glasgow to attend a conference.

I went to Glasgow to attend a conference. So didn't have much time to see touristy areas/places. Would have love to see some museums. It is a halal-friendly city. Easy to find halal food. However we didn't venture to the other side of the main river and I would have love if I have more time in Glasgow. Nice pizza place at West End Road. Also Nice meal at Afrikana.

Abounds in cultural heritage, easy to get about on foot but has a good transport system. Can’t do much about the weather but plenty of museums &pubs to shelter in. Last visited over 50 years ago but the development today is extraordinary. Would happily return.

Quiet Location, large room, comfortable bed, very good bathroom, friendly and quick check-in / check-out procedures. I will be looking to use the hotel again, if I need to spend a night in Glasgow.
