We just decided to take a day out from normal and decided to over night in Glasgow. Purpose of the visit was simply a day out eating and drinking. As such Glasgow is a very vibrant city full of great eating and drinking places. The following day we had a nice 45 minute walk out to the Riverside Museum. Have been here before but they had a Star Wars exhibition on, that in itself was a wee bit disappointing but the transport museum could never be described as that and what's more its free. Another nice 45 minute stroll back along the Clyde which is a pleasant walk back into the city centre and that was us for our short visit. Glasgow has so much more to see/do than we did this particular day and having done many of them it's definitely a great city to visit.

Glasgow is definitely the grittier, less pretty sibling of Edinburgh. Yet, it was a good location to take other trips to places in Scotland from. It has fantastic shopping, restaurants, and pubs. To 4 Americans, worth the 4 nights.

I've been to Edinburgh twice and it was fantastic.
I've been to Edinburgh twice and it was fantastic. The obvious tourist draws: medieval center, castle, etc. But Glasgow was a nice surprise. Only an hour + away from Edinburgh by train/bus, don't miss a chance to see Glasgow. The people are friendly, the center has many quirky pubs and restaurants, and it is at least 25% cheaper than Edinburgh. And there's a tiki bar! :D

Recently refurbished. Exceptionally clean, extremely comfortable beds, lovely fresh, crisp bed linen. Perfect location 600 metres from wedding venue Engine Room tho we did take Uber as we were running late! Great value for 6 people. 15 mins from airport. Lovely big enclosed garden, We were a family of five so would have needed 3 hotel rooms for one night, Wyndford was way better and less expensive than hotel. Ni city noise as situated in suburban cul-de-suc. Great for airport and Glasgow city centre 15 mins away.
I loved the location right by Kelvingrove Park and close to the Glasgow University and the best area in Glasgow - West End. There’s a bus stop to the city centre and to the airport (bus 77) literally next to the hotel. We got a big triple room even though we were only 2. Everything was clean and breakfast was good, we are fans of haggis so were very pleased to see it on the menu.
The location is between Glasgow City centre and West end, we can walk both place.
M8 morter way is next to hotel perfect from airport.
Staff's are very warm and friendly.
Food was amazing, free coffee, tea, juice
Thank you
The location of the hotel was spot on for concerts and shopping in Glasgow City centre. Facilities (pool etc) were great. Wouldn't hesitate staying there again. Staff were also very helpful.
Staff were excellent and room was very clean. Great value for money. If I'm looking for a cheap place to stay in Glasgow City centre I pick this hotel everytime!
