Motel One Glasgow 3 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Boasting an excellent location in Glasgow city centre, Motel One Glasgow is next to Central Train Station and is only a 9-minute walk from George Square and Queen Street Train Station. Didn't have any breakfast at the hotel, but the location was smack dab in the centre of town so there were a lot of options to eat close by. Also right next to Glasgow Central Station! I was worried there might be a noise issue but none whatsoever. European & USB sockets as well! Fishes on the TV!

Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow 4 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

This modern hotel is opposite Glasgow Central Station and features award-winning architecture. It boasts a stunning atrium and rooms with wall-to-ceiling windows. Staff was fabulous and very accommodating. Location was perfect, staff recommendations for bars and food were spot on, breakfast was delicious. Water pressure was good (I have thick, long hair - good is as good as it gets in hotels!), spotlessly clean. Loved the massive towels and products in bath. Smelled lovely and spa like. Thumbs up all around

Hampton by Hilton Glasgow Central 3 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Boasting a 24-hour front desk with express check-in/check-out, a bar and a restaurant, Hampton by Hilton Glasgow Central also features a fitness center. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly from the first moment to the last. We arrived at the onset of a new lockdown and the staff had been asked to come in for us as the sole guests. They couldn't have been nicer, more efficient or more accommodating. Breakfast was served at the room door so there was no contact whatsoever. We felt very safe in the circumstances. The room was spotless, as were the common areas.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!
