Motel One Glasgow

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Boasting an excellent location in Glasgow city centre, Motel One Glasgow is next to Central Train Station and is only a 9-minute walk from George Square and Queen Street Train Station. The hotel really exceeded my expectation. First of all, it is right behind the train station and very close to the main attractions. The hotel is very modern and the staff is welcoming. The room was incredibly clean and big. Even though it is very close to the train station, you hear nothing when you close the windows. It seems that they spend time in considering the needs of international travelers and it was amazing that they had European plug sockets, which did not require a converter for the chargers.

Apex City of Glasgow Hotel 4 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Apex City of Glasgow Hotel is located in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant city centre, where this boutique-style hotel offers free WiFi and has good access to the M8 motorway, a few minutes' drive away.... The hotel was centrally located. Shopping street just behind. 20 minute walk to the train station but if you have big luggages suggest you take a cab as it is up hill. Hot water in the bathroom was instant and don’t have to wait for the water to turn hot. Anthony at the front desk was most helpful. The room was spacious. I would stay here again should I come back.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!
