Euro Hostel Glasgow 4 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

In Glasgow’s city centre, Euro Hostel Glasgow offers free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. The modern hostel is just a 5-minute walk from Glasgow Central Railway Station. The staff is helpful and friendly, the location is beyond convenient and the place is clean and comfortable. I had a room to myself which made it more comfortable but I figure it’s the same with more people in the room. The mind and line pub downstairs has great deals for food for budget travelers and the portions are big enough that one meal will get you through the day. Excellent base to discover the highlands. I got sheets and towels included in my room which made it easier to feel comfortAble.

easyHotel Glasgow City 2 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Situated in the heart of Glasgow city centre, Easy Hotel Glasgow City offers air-conditioned rooms with private shower rooms and flat-screen TVs. The room is basic, but it does the job and is comfortable. I didn’t pick a city center hotel to hang out in my hotel room. The location is totally awesome though. Just a few minutes walk from everywhere. So convenient that even after I got to a bar and realized that I left something in my room, it wasn’t a hassle to walk back and pick it up m just a couple of minutes.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!
