The location could not have been better. Right next to the bus stop to and from the airport and next to the train station. Perfect walking distance to all the shopping you could want. Next to a nice mall and downtown shopping. This is a 5 star hotel and very affordable! Room was modern clean and amazing. The food was excellent. Very cool restaurant and bar on site. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this hotel 100% and will be back.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-loving & Forward-thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organizations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world-class. Don't miss the futuristic Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, there's something for everybody.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sports. Scotland’s 2 iconic soccer clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national soccer stadium, Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centers cover everything from name brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you've left enough space in your bags!

    Buildings in need of whitewash.

Buildings in need of whitewash. Gorgeous architecture but the drunkards in the streets and the lack of sanitation ( rubbish lying around ) brings the city down. There’s a feeling they could be great but can’t be bothered. People seem to lack ambition or direction. Super wealthy living there behind closed doors. Gorgeous indoor spaces, but only accessible to people with money. Needs a lot of work to become a world city which is a shame considering that after Liverpool it was the 2nd wealthiest city in the uk at one point.

Take the city tour bus to gain a feel of the different areas, it’s a great way to get to the ‘must see’ places. The Kelvingrove museum is amazing with a brilliant organ recital at 1pm, I had lunch here then later on tea and cake - both very tasty. Transport museum worth a visit too. Glasgow is an easy city to walk or travel round. Buchanan Galleries a great shopping mall

This is the second time we came to Glasgow. The city is beautiful, the people are extremely nice (except for driver of taxi 222). The transport is a bit difficult to master, but I will study it better next time I come, next summer. The weather is unpredictable.

Glasgow is a wonderful city. We had a lovely evening meal and a great time at The Ivy after exploring the city all day. The only disappointment being that St Georges Square was cordoned off completely. Favorite place...............The Willows tea rooms.

An excellent hotel that is great value. Rooms were very clean and nicely designed, great location in the west end opposite Kelvingrove park and museum.. Locally lots of nice restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk and the city centre also within walking distance. The staff here were very friendly, attentive and professional and the breakfast buffet was very good. Highly recommended for a stay in the west end of Glasgow.
