I spent three weeks at this hotel, and I can confidently say it's one of the best accommodations I've ever experienced! From the moment I checked in, the hospitality was exceptional. My room was impeccably clean, spacious, and flooded with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The delightful view from the window added an extra touch of charm, making it a perfect place to unwind. I particularly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen; all the necessary cooking utensils were readily available, allowing me to prepare meals with ease. One of the standout features was the smart TV, which provided fantastic entertainment options. Connecting to Netflix and YouTube was seamless, making evenings in my room enjoyable and relaxing. Additionally, the quality of the coffee provided in the room was outstanding—definitely a highlight of my mornings! Overall, my stay exceeded all expectations, and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

This hotel is amazing! I was impressed with their organization, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness, and the support of the staff. We manage to get checked-in before 10 am as they gladly made one bedroom available as per our request. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and clean.

A wonderful place to stay in the Merchant City. Friendly staff (including the owner), amazing food and drink, great location, loads of character and tradition. Babbity Bowster has only around six rooms. I stayed in a single room, which was small, but very nicely furnished. Worth a visit even if you aren't staying over. The do a lovely pint of Chieftain IPA from Cork! Sláinte!!

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-loving & Forward-thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organizations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world-class. Don't miss the futuristic Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, there's something for everybody.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sports. Scotland’s 2 iconic soccer clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national soccer stadium, Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Glasgow has something for all tastes.

Glasgow has something for all tastes. The transport system is excellent but many places of interest can be walked if you are located in the centre. Kelvin Grove museum and art gallery is a must visit and the riverside transport museum which is close by is very good. I can recommend both the Santa Lucia and The Italian Kitchen both on Ingram Street. Great food and atmosphere. For pub food the Auld Hundred on Rose Street is superb.

I travelled to Glasgow to attend a concert ( Half Man Half Biscuit at the o2 ) , to meet up with some friends , and to visit the Riverboat Casino . I was also there to pay a visit to my sister and her family , who live in Renfrewshire . My friend and I ate at the Blue Lagoon outlet in St Enoch's Square shopping centre , which was quick and convenient . But couldn't be described as anything other than fast food , in fairly uncomfortable surroundings . We stopped for a drink in Hootanany's on our walk across the Clyde to the enjoyable gig at the o2 . I went to the Riverboat Casino afterwards , and enjoyed a small win . I booked a taxi from there back to my hotel , and retired for the night . Everything went well . I should mention that the breaded haddock was very good at the Blue Lagoon .

Glasgow is a good place to visit for 3 days, but no more.

Glasgow is a good place to visit for 3 days, but no more. The Tenement House was our favorite place, though a bit of a walk from the subway station. Also, the Kelvingrove Museum, which is free, was quite a nice and interesting museum of local and Scottish culture. The Cathedral, though okay, is not much when compared to Catholic Churches in France or Italy for example. The history of the Scottish people who are buried there is fascinating, however. Restaurants in the city center were outstanding, and of course, the many pubs have charming character. The people of Glasgow are the shining example of how people the world over should treat others. They are the friendliest we have found the world over.

We were on the road and stayed someplace different for 9 days between Ireland and Scotland. Edinburgh was the cleanest area vs. Glasglow. There were decent areas to visit within walking distance and lots to see within an hours drive in any direction. Out the 500 miles we drove on trip Glasgow had the most confusing street signs/names when using navigation system. None of the city names matched. Once we got on and off hwy 4 times before taking the right exit. As long as you are patient while driving and it was definitely easier to have my son help with navigating. So we never really got lost.

Glasgow is a fantastic destination and I'd visit again! if you're staying a few days, prepare for the wet, cold and unpredictable changing inclement weather. Otherwise, it's a perfect destination, a melting pot of diverse cultures which blends so well within the city and brings it to life!

The hotel has a great location and offers reasonable prices. It's just a 5-minute walk from Glasgow's city centre and is easy to find. The staff were friendly and recommended that we use the lockers at the bus station, which turned out to be the right suggestion as the service there was much quicker and cheaper.
