Glenridding House is located in Glenridding, within the Lake District National Park. Free WiFi access is available in this country house. The hosts were very friendly and extra helpful, they really made the visit special. The location was beautiful and perfect for a quiet weekend away.
Situated on the shores of Ullswater, The Glenridding Hotel features a traditional pub, coffee shop and swimming pool, and offers breathtaking views across the Lake District. Very comfortable room and friendly staff provided excellent service. Excellent food and a very welcome "drying room" to deal with our clothing at the end of a day's walking on the Coast to Coast. Enjoyed the photos in the lobby of peaks in the Lakes District and the Donald Campbell Library.
Featuring a restaurant and free WiFi, Fairlight Guesthouse is located in Glenridding. Guests can enjoy mountain views. All units in the guest house are equipped with a kettle. Could not be better. Very clean, very close to the lake, great English breakfast, nice staff, comfy bed.
Cherry Holme offers accommodation in the village of Glenridding, near the shores of Ullswater. Free WiFi is available throughout the property along with free private on-site parking. Mike was the perfect host. The breakfast bag is such an excellent idea. Hot bacon and egg roll, a Danish, and a delicious latte was a great start to our day. The fridge was full of snacks and fresh milk! Great shower. Perfect really 😁
Location is perfect for walking, Helvellyn in easy reach plus the lake. You can also easily walk into the village so have food/drink options. Has all the facilities you need and staff very kind and well informed.
We went specifically to have a trip on the Ullswater Steamers. In particular the vintage boat “The Lady of The Lake”, built in Glasgow and shipped to Ullswater in sections. We were not disappointed. We did not have time to look around the village.
Glenridding is located on the edge of Lake Ulswater with easy access to the Steamers and boat hire. Range of places to eat although be prepared to wait as they are busy. Great location to head out and explore the Lake District.
A beautiful area. If you like hiking, there are several routes with stunning views. We took Ullswater steamer to Howtown and walked back via the peak of Place Fell - a long, steep and tiring hike, but the views were awesome. I would like to have more time to explore the area more.
A lovely place to stay if you like walking - mountains at one side and Ullswater the other. Went on the Lake to Howtown and Pooley Bridge - both highly recommended and also walked 'part way' up Helvellyn. A great place to visit especially if you're lucky enough to go out of season and the weather is good!
Location is King, second only perhaps to the excellent hospitality we received from all staff at the hotel. We were deeply in need of rest and we got it. A great experience and great service to boot. A particular highlight was not having to use the car the whole stay, walking from the hotel to the bay between Devil's Chimney and Lingy Holm for a swim, or boarding the steamer to Pooley Bridge for Lunch. There's plenty more withing walking distance and again a short drive away. Or just sit back and watch the sunrise and set cast light on the fell across the lake from the garden. A great stay. We'll be back.

Bedroom and bathroom top notch, clean and comfy. Lakeside views were stunning. Breakfasts, good choice and well presented. We had a 3 course evening meal which was tasty and again well presented with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco as we were celebrating a special event. Lynne the host was very friendly and willing to help if we needed it. Glenridding House is situated in an area where there are places to eat, a good shop selling just about everything and beautiful lakeside walks.

Really clean rooms with comfortable beds. Bathroom again very clean. Rooms were kept warm. Breakfast was excellent and were happy to have us amend it for things we liked or didn't like. Good location and easy to find. People also need to remember this is a guest house not a 5 star hotel and set expectations as such. It is a fantastic little guest house and it is a families livelihood so please respect that.

Lovely cottage in Glenridding. Ideal for walking - I walked both mornings straight from the cottage, so didn't touch the car during my stay. Everything was well set up on arrival, including lots of little extras such as a packet of biscuits, and a plentiful supply of dishwasher tablets. Bedrooms well laid out. Local pub, the Travellers' Rest is great for food and drink.

Food in the bar, location, hotel staff friendliness. All fantastic. We arrived early so left our luggage so we could go for a coffee before checking in. On return to reception our luggage had already been taken to our room. On the evening the bar meals were well priced and tasty, and service was quick and with a smile
