Located in Llangollen in the Clwyd region, Cefn Ceiriog provides accommodations with free private parking. Idyllic location and lovely cottage. Mai and Richard are very friendly, warm and welcoming. Sorry I couldn't eat all the lovely eggs that you left but not something I very often eat. Cottage was beautifully clean and all Covid regulations were in place, lovely furniture and equipment, had everything I needed . Great walks around the farm and countryside but you have to like hills. Would definitely consider a return trip. Mai makes beautiful soap and it was great to purchase some to use at home. Thank you both 💘

Barbecue facilities and a terrace are featured at Llangollen Townhouse, which is set in Llangollen, 3.7 mi away from Horseshoe Pass and 0.9 mi away from Castell Dinas Bran. Brilliant central location, within walking distance of the centre of Llangollen and all amenities. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't use our car which we parked on the road outside the house. Lots of walks to choose from in the local area, all starting within walking distance of the accommodation. The owners left us wine and biscuits on arrival and were in touch with us to see if we had settled in ok and had some recommendations on places to eat with a dog.
The hotel is well-placed for visiting the Dee valley and Llangollen as well exploring Chirk and the Ceiriog valley which were totally new to us. The hotel offered food in the evenings but at the time of our visit Covid restrictions meant that a limited evening meal choice was available. The continental breakfast was good. Our room was safe, comfortable and equipped with all we needed.
An small village with one or two shops and a small museum (Closed when we were there, but looked interesting) A bonus was the river running alongside where we stayed and the lovely scenery all around.
We spent one day in Betws Y Coed and also in Barmouth. Well worth the visit. The drive to both places was through some stunning scenery, and the weather was kind to us on both days. We also had a canal boat trip over the famous aquaduct and a trip on the Llangollen Steam Railway. Coming back to the peace and quiet of our appartment in Glyn-Ceiriog each evening was the perfect end to our day.
A lovely, spacious and comfortable property in quiet rural location. The facilities were great with everything you would need provided. Staff at the friendly nearby pub, The Mulberry, were very helpful in directing us to the property in the dark. Your dog is welcome at both the property and the pub.
I was travelling with my two dogs and had spent the day walking around Llangollen. We were all exhausted and I was ready to eat. Nice meal of scampi and chips at 7.30, I overheard a diner say the curry was delicious.Good choice of beers too! Cosy double room, plenty of space for my dogs beds too. Slept very well, comfortable and clean. No noise from the pub despite it being a Bank holiday Saturday. Good English breakfast in the morning with fresh coffee and refills. Very friendly staff, helpful advice and tips for travellers. Quick walk along the river over the road before starting our journey again. Only 4-5 miles from Llangollen, close to the A5 so ideal for visiting Conwy Falls, Betws y Coed, Snowdon.
We had a good day out going to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and walking across it.We originally intended going by boat from Llangollen but it was Saturday and we couldn't find any parking. We also went to Chirk to see Thomas Telford's other aqueduct. We walked through the "darkie tunnel "-I would recommend taking a torch as it is very dark. We ate in house both nights as the food was very good.
