Lovely location and set-up. Really nice shared space in lounge / breakfast area. Owners very pleasant. Dog friendly. Beautiful walk down lane to Falling Foss waterfall. Good bathroom and shower. Peaceful rural location. Owners have only just started doing B&B in addition to holiday lets so hope it goes well - they deserve it to be a success.

Mulgrave Country Cottage is absolutely gorgeous, quiet, well furnished, has beautiful art of the local area throughout and was a really enjoyable stay. The breakfast was fantastic and checking in and out was easy. The heated bathroom floor was fun and our room had its own entrance to the outside with a hallway bench - quite nice. The King bed was comfortable with nice bedding. We LOVED the short, beautiful stroll into Sandsend and had our best pub meal of our entire UK trip at The Hart Inn. I took a chance being a person with dog allergies and was very happy (and impressed) that although dog friendly, the rooms were spotless, did not have any animal smells and I had no animal allergies.

    The breakfast was excellent, the evening meal was too compliments to the chef . The warm welcome you received the friendly atmosphere, staff are superb it was like being with one big family we was so relaxed. Decor and bedrooms second to none I would rate this in the top ten of hotels we have stayed in well done ,we will be staying with you again

    The staff are very helpful and friendly. The lounge area was nice to sit n, as it was 7 various ages, we played draughts, pool. Meal was nice, to celebrate family members 80th and they brought out the cake at the end of the meal for us and sang.

    Lovely location in the village of Goathland and in easy walking distance of the North Yorkshire Steam Railway. This family run hotel has friendly staff, comfortable spacious rooms and the breakfast is truly magnificent. The evening menu is great too and there is ample free parking.

    Having visited some years ago I'm pleased to find that the hotel has lost none of its charm and excellent customer service. If you are looking for a bolt hole to get away from the maddening crowd and some relaxing peace the Mallyan Spout is the place for you. Clean,homely, comfortable, good service, excellent food and wonderful surroundings best describe the hotel.

    Everything and all staff are so ready to aid kindness and relaxation. There is a feeling of them being a family who want to make sure you can relax. We loved our Superior Room and its balcony view of the garden and the little birds’s nests inside it. The location is charming. we found peace here.

    Location was great, looking out to sheep and baby lambs jumping around whilst having breakfast. Staff were very helpful and always smiling. Nicola in particular was so lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Food choices for breakfast and dinner were excellent, all freshly cooked so did have to wait a bit, but not a problem as well worth the wait. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
