Idylically located in the south-west corner of Lincolnshire, Britain's oldest inn, Angel & Royal Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, is an historic hotel that's said to have hosted 7 kings... Staff were attentive, room was cozy, and the place was everything I think of when I think of England.

Corby Glen is a very nice village with some history and it's a short drive to Rutland water which is great for walking, cycling and birdwatching.Historic Stamford is also worth a visit and is a short drive away.
I only came here for one night for business so didn't get much time to have a proper look around. The town centre is certainly not pretty, by any stretch of the imagination but I expect there are some beautiful little villages around outside of the town. Couldn't see any restaurants that made me want to dine out but only walked down a few main roads so that's probably not a fair statement. (It was freezing cold and drizzling with rain...yuk!) However, there are some beautiful properties in Grantham!
We were in Grantham for the Gravity Fields festival. I would imagine that at other times of year Grantham could be somewhat quiet. This is not a shopping destination although it does have a few quirky old fashioned shops. There are country house and countryside to visit locally. Birthplace of Issac Newton and Margaret Thatcher.
We enjoyed the meals we had there. We didn't enjoy the noise above our bedrooms late at night. Sleep was very difficult; The bathroom was not very clean. When asking for any help at the reception we were simply advised to "google it". With the exception of John your IT man, who went above and beyond to help me with my laptop. Thank you John.
I lived here between 3 and 20 years, so familiar but vastly changed. Some places worthy to visit, i.e.St Wulfrum's but somewhat sad on the High Street, a familiar sight. Former A1 route and did have a number of coaching inns, the Angel survives, the George converted to a shopping market, tut.
Ideal for a short stay - clean, comfortable and good location for getting to local venues. We didn't have time to use the spa but lots of guests were evidently enjoying it. Very pleasant bar staff.

The room was clean, it’s cheap and cheerful accommodation which is all I wanted and the location is excellent as you are 5 mins walk from Grantham and close to the Railway station. I arrived early and asked if I could drop off my bag and the staff were very accommodating, would definitely stay there again!

Decent Coffee ! In the UK!! The pub was virtually a Gastro Pub (with out the price). Just a great friendly little country pub. Close to the motorway, very quiet and recently renovated, very stylish, spacious rooms. It even had good car parking.
